i try to keep a level head but once in a while my head tilts and I get like a flash of sjw. Like with this vid I saw today.


WHY would you let your dog play with a bullet shell?! It's not cute! It's a major choking hazard.
 
I just spilled a glass of water on my laptop.

Thankfully I have backups but goddammit I'm still kicking myself over how retarded I am. Plus I have to buy a new laptop now (:_(

Well, apparently, my girlfriend's internship program is sending her to work in an area over a three hour drive away for ten weeks, and then she'll be off to devil knows where. She couldn't handle waiting to see me again for an indefinite amount of time due to her work, so we decided to end the relationship. Feelings haven't changed, just situational crap. She just doesn't want to put me through the same stuff she can't handle.

We talked on the phone this morning for a long time, and after that, I received a text:

"You were a great boyfriend. Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise."

She gave me the best half year of my life ever :heart-full:

That's honestly the best way to end a relationship with someone. Hope everything goes okay. Glad you're alright.

having a fever in finals week is great! It makes you sluggish, not able to focus and all around miserable.

My Penguins just won the Eastern Conference finals and are headed to the Stanley Cup finals. I'm so giddy I feel like I just downed an entire vat of espresso and tank of Mountain Dew. I don't know how I'll be able to sleep tonight.

I feel like it's impossible to find a nice-looking messenger/similar style bag that can fit a 17" laptop.

Even searching for laptop bags that size on Amazon bring up a bunch of results that either look nice but are actually only 15" or are the right size but look tacky. I gotta bring my laptop to work sometimes, but not having a bag to put the case in makes that difficult.

Recieved my first jury duty notice in the mail. It's going to be real annoying showing up for two days downtown, sitting in court, hearing the descriptions, betrayals and other atrocities aflicted on a person or company, then give my two cents as either the majority or minority of a baker's dozen. Wish me luck.
 
Have fun. My mother was selected to do jury duty last year for a case where some guy attacked a few people with a hammer. He ended up pleading guilty at the last moment possible before the trial started, so she didn't end up having to do much at all.

My grandpa was selected for jury duty a couple years ago but was excused on account of him being old.
