The General Thread

I applied for best buy like 4 weeks ago and made it through the first two interviews and got told I'd be heading to a third(and final!) one with details and all, they forgot about me for two fucking weeks and then when i ask for an update they send a shitty automated rejection email back to me. Best Buy can suck dick.

I also got the worst pain of my life in one experience yesterday: birth control.

It's a shame when they pull that shit on you. I've been through that way too many times to count, I feel like it's not worth it anymore. Even to pester them on the phone in case they might even remember me.

They weren't gonna tell me anything but because i asked, they said "fuck her send that rejection email" :heart-empty:
It's really just a contest with these people. Either you didn't look your best at the interview or the application wasn't filled out in detail or your resume isn't up to snuff. There's always something miss that deduct points towards that final decision.

Yeah I thought I had it in the bag :heart-empty: I was smiling and laughing and had a little personal relation with the interviewer at the time but I feel like me mentioning my old condescending boss in any way whatsoever might've hurt me too. I wasn't angry or anything about it, but that might've set them off to think I'm gonna be quick to think that way if they tell me to do something. Oh well, I've been trying to look for better paying jobs in my area since I plan on moving out within the next year or so and I want to avoid being taken advantage of with little pay again, but i don't know if that'll happen.

Sometimes it's difficult whether it's the right time to keep your mouth shut or not.

When I think of all the terribleness in the world today, a little something from my childhood came back to my by coincidence. This odd little video (technically a fake recreation) was what used to be seen locally in my area for over a decade. Just this guy's face and his brief words. It always made me feel like that was all that mattered, but I guess people do forget.

Of course if you do look up this guy, you might be surprised to learn he was actually a magician (and I thought he was someone representing a church). He's practically the original meme'ster!

I can finally see the hidden pictures in Magic Eyes. Those instructions never worked for me as a child. Minor life victory.
Interesting, I remember someone telling me to rest my eyes and that was it. I suppose I had better practice in it as they used to print a Sunday comics version in my local paper back in the 90's.

I always got "hold it up to your nose, focus on the middle and slowly move it away." That never worked, but the resting my eyes one does.

Reactions: A Cold Potato
Went to a high school open house tonight (why on my birthday who knows, I guess they like getting them out of the way). Met a teacher for their "media arts" classic who remembers me having been there over 20 years ago and actually gave me one of these since he was going to throw it out...
