I got a major role in a play at a prestigious local theatre!!!! Its generally considered hard to break in there too. I was worried it would conflict with another show I'm in (I felt extra terrible for bothering that director for info when she had stomach flu) but it doesn't at all! And this was all super last minute, and I beat out someone my age who I generally consider way better then me, and I got the director to laugh quite a few times, and he called me RIGHT AFTER auditions, and...man today was great. I really needed this.

Major Congrats. You might want to record the part you read because you could use it as a demo to get more roles

I need some help here: a few days ago, someone uploaded a Garry's Mod video in one of the threads, but I can't remember which one. I watched about half of it on Monday, however I had to leave for work, and I closed the tab with the thread (and video) without writing down the video name, and I can't for the life of me remember what it was called.

I'd be extremely grateful to anyone who could link back to that video.

Do we have a thread to bet on which cow will die next? If we don't, we should. I wouldn't put money on Bodhi, Luna or the Wern surviving past 2020.

what would you suppose life would be like on a planet that spends most of it's time in near pitch darkness with minimal sunlight that shows it'self once a year. like what kinda of plants and animals would have adapted to living on such a planet? i'd take inspiration from life at the bottom of the ocean with it's bioluminescent marine life and probably blind animals that look rather horrifying

I dropped my pancake on the floor. So my dog got a pancake. He never liked pancakes or eggs before. But now that he's old he eats everything.

Picked up The Orville on dvd today. Been meaning to watch this show for a while now, so I'm glad it was cheap. So far it's been pretty enjoyable. But I also know I have Star Trek Discovery under the tree. My goal is to finish both first seasons before returning to work. Sad part STD cost twice as much.

So Funimation had this Black Friday deal where you could get all three of the Rebuild of Eva Blu-Rays for $35. I ordered it and then completely forgot about it until I got a notification on Monday that it shipped. Yes, it took three weeks to ship.

So I get the box and open it up and there is only one of the three movies in it. The invoice had a completely different order number despite having the rest of the info like my address and stuff correct. I emailed them immediately, and then an hour later I got a new shipping confirmation. No apology or explanation, apparently they just said fuck it and sent a whole new box. And then they have the gall to send me an email with a survey about my shopping experience.

I've ordered from them once in the past, a t-shirt that also took them weeks to ship, and when they did they did so three times and charged my PayPal account accordingly. It took like two months of sending stuff back before I finally got my money back.

tl;dr; Never under any circumstances order anything from Funimation's merch store.

I had a nice, quiet birthday at home with my mother, give or take a few afternoon errands. I received a few gift cards, checks, an armband to hold my iPhone, and a Hug Buddy phone holder for my car- the latter two being very useful items whenever I'm on the go!

We also took 2 days to visit SeaWorld Orlando last week because I've never been there before, and my mom got a great deal at a Marriott that was 5 minutes away! I had a blast seeing Shamu, a dolphin show, and a short Christmas on ice show (surprisingly no protestors though, which would have been a hoot).

Lastly, if you're hungry in SeaWorld- skip the restaurants unless you like the taste of roadkill and cardboard-flavored ice cream.

Seeing as how it's Christmas eve, this seems appropriate:

I had decided to stop visiting this site earlier this year because I disliked myself so much I didn't feel I deserved to laugh at lolcows(which I deemed I was not actually better than them).

Right now I really don't know if I'm actually "deserving" to laugh at lolcows but decided to revisit anyway because recently I have acted kind of like a decent human being, sort of.

Today in my intersession class we played some game to demonstrate a social concept

In spring last year when I was taking the SAT, I got a reading passage about a study involving a virtually identical game to prove the same theory

Who the fuck would've guessed that the SAT would ever teach college material?
