Well, my three weeks of solitude are over. The upstairs neighbors are back from winter break along with their music, screaming, and weed smoking. Sounds like they are making up for lost time too.
I fucking hate people.
Still, that was pretty annoying to go through, and I hope they either learn their lesson or move out.So last night it sounded like they were repeatedly dropping a bowling ball on the floor while they were partying. After about five minutes of this, the light fixture on my ceiling dislodged from the vibrations and shattered on my floor.

Called the cops who went upstairs and told them to shut the fuck up. Found out some dickhead was dribbling a basketball on the kitchen floor. Also got in contact with the leasing office who told me they sent an email to them saying if the cops get called on them again they're going to get kicked out. Haven't heard a single peep out of them all day. Top lel.
yes
That does really suck. I'm still using the PC I bought three years ago and thankfully haven't noticed anything that serious at all, and I've got two monitors running off the video card on a 350 watt PSU.My pc died on me. I thought it was the power supply, as the mobo’s lights and LED read-out weren’t coming on, but upon installing a new supply, no dice. I built it three years ago, so of course I can’t just buy a direct replacement because no one is selling it anymore. I just hope my cpu and memory aren’t fried as well. Hate this shit

Have you done the stupid things like making sure the CPU power connector and the mainboard connector are secure? I've known two seperate people forget to plug the CPU power supply IN lol. Also have you tried checking that the fuse in your power cord (if it has one) is still good, or just trying another cord. Last thing I'd suggest, turn the machine on at the wall then using a paperclip manually jump the two contacts on the mobo where the power button connects. There are other things you can do but these would be my main go-to tips in the first instance. Despair not, a mainboard playing dead isn't always dead.My pc died on me. Yeah if those lights aren't on it may be a duff mainboard. Check ebay, you'll probably have some luck sourcing an identical one. If you've replaced the PSU that's a good start, mobo fatalities are usually PSU related. The only power supply connectors on my mobo are the 20+4 eATX main connector, then a 6 pin and 4 pin eATX connectors at the top of the board. There aren’t any one specifically labeled for the CPU (I think the 6 and 4 pins are for it). Tried everything else and no bueno. Thanks anyway, I appreciate any help! As long as there is power to the board, those lights and read out are always on, even with the pc off, so the fact they’re not has me really worried.
