In my opinion; I'd skip, unless your morbidly curious and want to watch it; I'd just look up a summery or watch one of the various videos on YouTube that talk about why it failed as a sequel and fails to understand what made the original so special.

Rinko Kikuchi's character is killed off and replaced by John Boyega and a bunch of Chinamen. That's all I need to know that it's shit.

So one of the reaction videos to this Doktor Skipper started playing while I was working. Never saw the original.

Normally, these running commentaries go in one ear and out the other but after awhile I couldn't believe how fucking stupid this Skipper guy is. It's not even "hot takes" I disagree with, he's just factually wrong.

"Most people don't even know Godzilla originated in Japan!"
"Godzilla is a public IP!"

I'm still getting through this but what a train wreck of a video.

Didn't know this had been announced a while ago but just saw that Criterion has a physical release of Godzilla Vs Biollante coming out March 18. I think they have most the Heisei era on their streaming service but I would kill for a physical collection eventually like they did the Showa era. Cover looks okay but doesn't compare to the poster.
