Speaking of Netflix monster shows, there's quite a few on the platform.
There's a Kong animated series that looks awful, but I haven't seen it. There's an Ultraman show that I haven't checked out either.
But there's also Pacific Rim: The Black, which I watched a couple weeks ago, and I enjoyed it. Its much better than PR2, that's for sure, and it makes for a fun expansion of the world.
Sadly, it wasn't great. The Godzilla anime trilogy was garbage, and I am still mad I wasted hours of my life hoping it might be okay. It was not.
I love the idea, too, but they sure as shit didn't utilize him to his fullest potential, either. Made for such an underwhelming climax. That said, I did kind of like Lovecraftian Spaghetti Monster Ghidorah, lol
I couldn't bring myself to finish the last part. Not after they cucked Mecha G so hard. I also did not care about any of the characers, and was just sad I had wasted my time.It wasn't great sadly.
I tell people who ask me about it that you should only watch it if you are a Godzilla completist.
Its a shame too because the premise is fantastic, but it just never lives up to its potential. Not even close.

I tell people that if you pretend it has nothing to do with Godzilla, it's an OK sci-fi story. Reminded me of Star Trek a few times. Its a shame too because the premise is fantastic, but it just never lives up to its potential. Not even close.
Are we just gonna use this thread as the defacto place to discuss GvK or is there gonna be a new thread created?
For those who are seeing it tomorrow, just give a yes or no answer for if there is a post-credit scene.
I love the recent Godzilla fans vs Kong fans memes coming out.
I got myself this at the Alamo Drafthouse a month ago:Wearing my Godzilla shirt under my work uniform tomorrow. Heading out to the movies right after. Let's gooooo!
I watched it in theatre. Personally I recommend waiting. This is one of those movies that I would say is a good theatre experience.I have tickets to see it on Saturday, but I also have HBO Max ...
What do I dooooo? Do I wait until Saturday? Or do I watch it right away and then see it again in theaters? I wish I were more patient!
