He will have to get a job at some point or re-register his greencard. If he is shipped back to the US, his return will be documented and his income will be traceable.

This is one thing that's always struck me, which is that Near's messages to Null are generally accepted to be true. We know they're not dying declarations, but considering this was very likely a planned fake suicide there's no reason to take any of what he said in them as true. Just for an example, it wouldn't surprise me if he lied about the prefecture he was in. But also things like him saying he had no friends, while believable, isn't necessarily true just because he said it.

My presumption is that he'd organised this with at least Hector, who he probably considers a friend. I also presume he wrote and updated the Google doc that Hector posted, and is either behind or knows who is behind the Wayne Beckett account that posted here in an attempt to draw attention to the real Wayne Beckett and away from people he liked.

Everything he said can't be considered a fact because he was planning an intentional misdirect. So while I personally believe that, for example, he isn't trans and was just trying to fit in with the hyper-autists in his chosen obsession, that information comes from him and I could be completely wrong. So the idea that he's using the death of his online persona to not only reinvent himself, but to fully troon out, remains a possibility.

It happened roundabout the time Hector announced his sabbatical, and by then the first waves had petered out & largely mitigated.

At the start of things no doubt they had a surfeit of donations in time & cash from the virtuous troon brigades, but I noticed as soon as the intial rage passed & memory holing occured (along with Null's efforts), taking the site down for more than a few minutes happened rarely.

I've never believed that Byuu had anything close to the amount of ready cash as he said; maybe if he liquidated his collections/possessions & IPs beforehand, but if he'd actually done that it'd be way more dedication to faking suicide than I'd given him credit for.

And Null is definitely tracking what patterns there are & when, he's made enough in silver to afford a lot more than what Byuu & Buddies can manage; pretty sure he doesn't need us monitoring it for him.
