Once I set up the recurring monthly payment of $40 (or more), can I adjust the amount higher or if it was a one-time "extra support", should I generate a special billpay (non-recurring)?
this depends on your bank. on my credit union, I could set up a recurring one and a once-off payment for more.

The API system works pro rata. If two checks come in, one for $100 and the other for $40, you'll get 2.5 months of time.

I intend to add a way where if you have more than a month to spare, you can transfer it to anyone. So that's how gifting will work.

Having never used the billpay feature at my bank, I have a question.

@Null
You should donate anything over $40 on Rumble or Locals. He's specifically looking for support on Locals to make line go up for partner company, and on the MATI streams you can make him say funny things or watch videos to amuse you. Best way to apply extra funds imo

Not that I'm an expert, but literal debanking seems like a significant step up from payment processor bullshit.
Never say never. Those who wish to destroy us will go to any length necessary to do so, even if it means undermining the neutrality of services people rely on and trust. Do not think for a second that they wouldn't debank us if they could.

My favorite part of these changes is the increased transparency on how highlights actually work. It was the general consensus before than it was entirely algorithm-based with no human input, but I would see users make a zinger and get highlighted after like two Agree stickers. So it was a "don't believe your lying eyes" type situation.

Having a clear, unambiguous display of why and how a post was highlighted go a long way to appease my crippling autism. Thank you, Null 👍

What kind of analytics? I would have thought the anonymous (pseudonymous?) nature of the site precludes this.
I'd assume it was Google Analytics, which the site seemed to have until the beginning of 2018 when Null dropped it after LFJ started threatening the site:
