There was one contract called “Remove Kebab” and it revolved around murdering the sheikh from Paris. The description of the contract was blatantly racist and there was another contract in Marrakesh which revolved around genocide of colored people in the description.

These are *MUCH* worse than something that requires you to kill a pedo. It’s what happens when 12 year olds and Alt Right members get their grubby hands on the game.

It amazes me how people feel the need to discuss politics in a fucking game forum.
Some of them praise it, mostly because "the developer agrees with me so I want more"

A bit late with the archive, since I'm not used to it, over 300 posts have been deleted.
There are some interesting individuals on the thread, Quinn had a couple of exceptional comments, but most have been deleted I think.

The Abiatti guy was clearly just a generic corrupt Italian politico, I don't think he was supposed to be a Trump stand-in.

Of course, the first comment on the immigration one is by Quinn. And of course he has to say "let's not reduce women to objects guise" on pretty much a joke thread.
I don't have much to comment on this, other than it's getting more obvious to me how all of it is just about getting affirmation.
That's frustrating as a Hitman fan that the forums seem to be dominated by a certain group of people that have nothing else to do other than complain about "muh social commentary". I mean, I'm no fan of censorship but I think topics like politics should be strictly prohibited on video game forums, at least on games that aren't specifically about politics.

So I posted a controversial topic to the Hitman reddit page about how weird I found it that people in HMF and on youtube were demanding that the games should be a kill simulator for people to murder their least favourite celebrities. One of the thread subjects, Kotti, jumped in and started doing a le moral relativist take. Then he realised it was me and did his usually thing of linking this thread (he's done this before) in an attempt to throw some sort of bitch fit.

What's interesting is I praised Kotti in the thread as being unironically entertaining to watch yet he still won't let this go.

(the second highlight is of him claiming people shouldn't hide their speedrun strats, ironic since his Blood Money speedrun is now deleted and he wanted to get rid of a strat because people were catching up to him.)

For context again: Hitman is an online only single player game. I said that it’s anti-consumer. He tried bootlicking and justifying it. My perspective was more popular, so he’s indefinitely froze my account. I can’t interact with the forum but it’s not a temporary ban so it’s not like it’s going to run out. The only way I can get back on the forum is if I grovel. I know I’m being hysterical but I also know that the always online is a stupid feature and grovelling would be factually wrong.

So wincen started posting this drivel about how everyone on the forum is entitled (note how he only says this in DMs)

Like I said I’m being hysterical, but the forum is ran by pretentious garbage and I don’t know why IO-Interactive associated with them. I guess with this post I’m associating with the farms, but while I disagree with some of the content here it’s done some actual good of exposing Nazis and child groomers. The Hitman Forum people are just chuds in woke clothing.

Seriously I don’t say anything racist, All I did was criticise bad business practices, I drink from the same koolaid they do. Yet im being muted? Wincen makes all these posts about how people can’t handle political talk or cant handle that hitman is political. But what are those politics? Hitman is about how wealthy people and corporations are bad and that killing their CEOs is a good thing. It’s a power *fantasy* sure, but its politics are ultimately very “eat the rich” driven. Yet Wincen is very much “eat the boot” in his politics.

I’m probably gonna get banned for this. Which is a shame as I won a Steam key for my life partner when Hitman 3 releases next year. Oh well, fuck that Forum.

Hitman was extremely niche until recently. Less brand recognition than the Thief series, despite Hitman being available on consoles. IO needed all the word-of-mouth they could get. David Bateson also frequented the forum. A lot of goodwill arose from that.

The delusions of grandeur didn't set in until later.
