The Kiwi Farms userscripts - AKA Autistically fixing the reaction system that Null broke

you can still react to any post if you put in the entire URL to react to a thing
So like, reacting with anything more than a ‘like’ on profile posts? Like you said, I’m usually too lazy to go up to the URL of my reaction, read the reaction numbers guide that @AnOminous posted here, type said number into the URL, and hit confirm for one fucking reaction. So I either like, or don’t engage at all.

Honestly bro, a lot of what you do is post images, gifs, and memes. You're a dork for it and I love it. You constantly make me laugh with your stupid ass watermelon bullshit. You deserve to know I gave you a heart at least.

You're totally right. WTF else is there to directly respond to a goofy gif you gave in the thread that describes the situation besides a reaction?
Thank you, I am glad anyone finds my silly posts funny. I love making people laugh, so seeing reactions is important for users like me like you pointed out. Otherwise what is the point of making jokes, to laugh to yourself? Crazy.

At the end of the day, will it kill the site. lol, no. Will it stop people from being more active on the site, more than likely. I really dislike that @Null only wants to see things from his perspective and only sees how people who choose to use the site differently than him and are having fun using the site their own way are hand waved as stupid. Let me post my images and see the meaningless reactions to them.

Also, looking at reactions I have found a lot of users I have never seen post before and check out their profile. It's just a fun way to interact with the site and see the users that are on it and just hand waving it as "reddit upvotes bad" is so frustrating.

Yeah I've noticed this too. I feel like I get dropped in a random place in the thread. I end up fishing around to figure out where I left off. I think hitting first unread helps most of the time but I really haven't had it happen to me often enough that I really take note on what's going on before finding where I left off.
Yes, I've actually used my own reactions left to find a place in a thread when my laptop died. You will also lose the place if you post sometimes, but as long as you don't go to the actual page it's on, it usually works right.

The feature is reliable, but only if you check frequently. I am not autistic enough to track how long it's been between the last time I checked one.
The easiest way to see this is in AH when a thread gets updates months later. If I knew specifics, I would've just told Null about it directly, but I don't think it's something that can be changed/"fixed".

If you sticker autists want to help each other out, type your reactions into a reply and hit post. That way when you see 57 notifications of "X, Y, and Z quoted your post in some dumb thread," you can click through and bask in the replies saying "I like this post" and "Winner!"

I don't want to have to micromanage everything. I'm fucking shitposting, not running a business. This techbro "everything has to be obtuse and you need a million menus and shortcuts, you have to ~curate the walled garden~" mentality just overcomplicates everything and I'm sick of it. It's so rigid.

Nobody thinks like this. Stop forcing people to think like this.
