The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

I honestly thought Druckmann is single and preying on women using his position but apparently he's married and has children.
No he got divorced after cheating on his wife. He's pretty much the picture of the male feminist predator

In the process of divorce, case number 19STFL11432
Proud male feminist ally took HER to court after cheating on her, stopped mentioning his daughter shortly afterwards

Nobody knows who or when, but even then that's why someone coined the last name, Cuckmann

And they skipped over all of the horrifying imagery the game used. Not using the "they didn't suffer" room is criminal.
That room fucked me up real good the first time I came across it. You're telling me they'll inject a weird, completely OOC scene of Ellie torturing a trapped infected guy with a smile on her face, but they won't even show one of the most infamous and depressing rooms in the game, one that made even Joel upset? Such bullshit.

drake is based on younger nathan fillion as in the one in firefly which explains the quippy dialogue he has. nowadays fillion is just too old to do a hypothetical live action role for an uncharted movie. if this was 2012 when he was still in his 40s there would be a chance
even as a browncoat he wasn't really that quippy, more stoic (and whedonspeak wasn't used as inflationary as it is now, whedon himself was smart enough to understand you can't do that shit constantly every time everywhere). drake always reminded me of the typical hollywood wisecracking smartass action hero, not necessarily modeled after someone specific.

Which is why Im now depressed again that Alita will never get a sequel *sigh*
be careful what you wish for, I liked pacific rim having a sequel, and look what we ended up with...

the first RE movie was ok, as far RE movies go. also worked ok as sort of a prequel that wasn't retreating the same places the games did and added their own stuff, while keeping the atmosphere.

I'd still take geriatric Nathan over fucking spiderboy.
completely missed/forgot that movie even existed (mainly due to stopping watching hollywood-shit years ago).

Pacific Rim didnt need a sequel, it needed spin offs and maybe video game tie ins. And maybe a sequel made by Del Toro years in the future if demand was still there. The original movie was just far too conclusive.

The sequel is clearly just a cash in the worst way possible.

Alita legit ended on a cliffhanger that clearly demanded a sequel to continue the story as she had a target and the villain clearly knew she was on her way, not intimidated in the slightlest.

Its funny, we want more of Alita, an actual strong female lead, and yet they dont want "that" one for us.

Loved the first game, thought the second was good and has fantastic violence even tho its tranny propaganda. I cannot imagine watching the show, even tho I enjoy the games. The games already play like movies. They should have stopped after the first game. Also charging $70 bucks for a remaster of a game that was by no metric worthy of a remaster is honestly laughable. Anybody who bought that at full price is a fool. Good games but not worthy of a franchise. Tired of IPs being driven nto the ground with sequels and TV shows. Make new shit. Also whoever they cast as Ellie in the show is really bizarre looking. She looks like the weird younger sister from Hereditary.

Lev's VA, Ian Alexander, apparently wants to reprise the role of Lev, in the HBO TLOU show:

I know this is mostly performative lefty-racism by a z-lister desperate for relevance but he/she/it/whatever the fuck this victorian era racist caricature of asian people-looking retard is, it should be aware that unlike most of white racism its racism is being stored on the internet forever so when the wokeAIDS ends and the overton window shifts it will have a lot of problems to deal with.

Also LMAO pretending its disposable filler character will make it, they will probably cast a black lgbtwtfbbq actor instead and to add insult to injury some black guy will punch her/he/it for spreading "da chinkflu"
That is because the Sonic Movies are....actually fun and don't try to be some giant bullshit "Artistic" Rimjob to boost the Directors Ego.
Well TBH you can't do much drama with Sonic, its peak seriousness was the adventure games when you have an entire city destroyed godzilla-style (pretty cool ngl) and on the second the moon gets a chunk blasted away. You have the shadow game too but its too OTT and cringe in its angsty mid-2000 edginess. I do recall that for some reason the game had a ton of fangirls.

But point is sonic despite what some terminal autists want to believe was always a game for kids, it was more edgy than mario but it wasn't conker's bfd.

On the other hand it would be interesting to see a subversion of the genre with sonic but it would have to be done by writers with real talent, like alan moore did with miracleman, but theres nobody like that in the western gaming industry, not anymore. If they did this it would be a "le sonic is the bad guy because.......because he just is okay?! and robotnik is black and was the good guy all along, and the master emerald is an allegory for slavery because it got 'master' on it! and-and you should feel bad or else you don't get it shitlord!"

"Also amy was always trans and sonic ran away from her because he's a transphobe!"

And they skipped over all of the horrifying imagery the game used. Not using the "they didn't suffer" room is criminal.
Hollywood hates existential dread and depressing stories. The bean counters and marketers always demand those parts of the stories be removed out of fear that it will affect sales. Like compare the absolute dread of living in a world that's being destroyed with billions dying that is Halo Reach with the basic bitch drama that is the halo tv series. The tlou series is more walking dead that tlou, they are even slapping huge gunfights now because otherwise it would be "boring" according to retarded analysts.

WWZ is another great example, the book is depressing by american literary standards (doesnt hold a candle to french or russian stuff tho) with stories about starvation, cannibalism, rape, bad guys coming out on top of the situation, the upper middle class/pmc having to (GASP!) submit to white trash who actually know how to get shit done in the safe enclaves where shit like office work isnt needed anymore. Which is why the movie had fuck-all to do with the book and it was the dumbest most derivative action movie imaginable with a happy ending to the point even normies though it was meh.

Even then the filmmakers will use its le serious edgy undertones as more of a tongue-in-cheek parody.

I dunno, the 2 Sonic movies sometimes hit on actual themes, like Sonic and Robotnick both grew up as outcasts, One eventually found a place he belonged, while the other used the thing that made him an outcast to hurt people. Heck the entire plot got kicked off because Sonic was having a very dark moment about being completely alone and went fast enough to get detected.

Once Sonic came to Earth, he wanted someone to keep him company as his mother owl from the Echidna planet was already shattered by Robotnik himself. The lore has been explained in two movies. That said, Sonic doesn't become that much of an emo shit by the second movie. Even Tails accompanies Sonic and the character dynamic with the two is pretty good.

Oh no, I am not saying he is Emo, I am just saying that at least the first Sonic movie somehow accidently trips over an actual theme somewhere along the way, which is more than can be said for most Video game adaptations.

Fortunately, you have a very long running manga to go through her escapades which I highly recommend. The movie did a gigantic disservice to the sportsball arc and having Vector set up as the be all vilian for the sequel is such small potatoes for what the grander "antagonists" are.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it for what it was, but this is one of those cases where you have easy access to a much more expanded narrative, so not getting sequels doesn't ruin my sleep.

If it was a good adaptation is up for debate (some fans say it was good enough, some say it isnt good but there are far worse ones out there) but as a movie itself, it was great. The changes werent necessarily for the worst and the other antagonists could come in down the line.

I haven’t played Last of Us 2 and God willing I never will, but isn’t Lev not actually trans? As in, she doesn’t have gender disphoria but is from a religious cult where the men are all hunters and the women get fucked and impregnated by the cult leaders? And she says ‘well I don’t want to get fucked so I guess I’m a boy now’?

That hardly seems like ‘trans representation’ to me, but I’m not nearly as stunning or brave as Dr Uckmann so maybe I just can’t grasp the scope of his genius.

Even being fictional doesn't make children from the sjw

Didn´t the movie end with Brad Pritt getting AIDS and who the fuck is that boy they picked up?

Lev´s role was to be a babymaker, the older sister and any female hunter npc is chosen to be a hunter.

Lmao at Cuckmann using "only men have shaved heads" as a way to say Lev transitioned to a man.

That's pretty much exactly what Cherokee trannies were. May have to go buy TLOU2 now. Based post-apocalyptic shieldmaiden.
