Probably just a straight "prettied up" port of the game, maybe with some super duper 8000K supreme textures in order to dupe normies into buying it. Maybe Neil will force them to make the character models even uglier like they did with the first game's remaster, though with Abby that'd be quite a feat. And just like last time it's being done purely to cash in on the show's second season.

There's still a large part of Joel's life between infection day and Ellie that they could use. But Ellie and Abby are the stars now, and if they go with them I'm pretty sure TLOU3 will hit the bargain bin faster than TLOU2 did.

If Ellie is the main character, I don’t people will want anything to do with it either, because they made her so utter miserable alone and with nothing to give her joy anymore.

i could see hundreds of ways they do a 3rd proper game. most likely they just do new characters, and maybe have characters from the previous game(s) show up as minor characters. they may try to incorporate that tendril thing from the show into it. that'd create interesting gameplay scenarios from a level design perspective

-the remake, but ported to the pc but as shit as possible
-a hbo show that against all odds was okay
-a controversial sequel
-a remaster of said sequel 3 years after the release of the original...on a console that can already play said game with improved resolution and framerate
-a possibly canned multiplayer mode that was originaly suposed to be included with the sequel

And 2013 was the start. This began with that first entry in the shitty Tomb Raider reboot trilogy.

They've monumentally squandered any good will they had with the fans. They want to appeal to such a tiny portion of their demographic. I don't know ND's direct relationship with Sony, but I can't see ND's budgets coming from anywhere but out of pocket. ND is listed as a yearly revenue of a quarter of a billion, and they spent that and more on TLOU2 and it bombed miserably.

Absolutely hilarious that Cuckmann will tank the franchise not once, but twice. As you may have noted, there is no DLC, no multiplayer and leas of all no 'part 3' coming for the game series. I'd also like it reminded that the good parts of 1 are directly against the horrendous writing capabilities of Cuckmann, he had a similar shit idea for 1 that he made for 2. This was overridden thankfully, so the only good part of this 'franchise' was created.

Now that the TV adaptation is being made, a new audience will get the same experience of disappointment lmao. Ironically the more faithful the show is to the game, the more quickly and harshly the ratings will tank to nothing. But there will also not be a Season 3 to the TV show, unless they go to a completely new direction, which Cuckmann's ego wouldn't allow.

I just wonder how long Cuckmann can grift along while producing 0 new gaming content by his gaming studio, after all the talent left due to his shit treatment of staff. (see leaks ITT) It is funny to follow though. First he attached his name to a demake completed by another studio as it was being released (Part 1 'remake'). Then he mooched up to TV producers. (games? by my gaming studio? No, but I'd like to be paid though) Now another 'remake' is coming of Part 2 which will have even less difference to part 1 demake. And his multiplayer which was being worked on pre release of 2 (again leaks ITT) was finally found by Sony to be in a woeful state due to no more programmers who know how to program being in the company as is now 'restructured and downsized.'

I mean hey, so long as Sony keeps paying him for doing nothing, why not keep doing nothing.
