Forbes: HBO’s ‘The Last Of Us’ Review Bombing Surpasses The Game’s Review Bombing

Funny it's only "bombing" when reviews are negative. Looks like the none gamer audience don't like Cuckmans misery porn either :story:
If your show is getting ruined by ratings on corpo controlled websites you press and schmooze with for good publicity, then your show is fucked already. If it was actually good, then the metrics would improve.

Tonight's episode is expected to be Ellie finding Nora and torturing her to find out where Abby is. I don't expect the public to enjoy it.

Looks like the show lost 20% of it's audience after episode 2, aka the Joel in one.
I expect it to lose even more after episode 2 due to how insufferably boring the new protagonists are. It's dumb enough they killed the main character and heart of the story, but they then replace it with an even worse version of the game. Because it's telling that the game had better actors.

And hate she is getting. There's a GTA RP streamer I watch sometimes and somebody asked him in chat what he thought about the show around the time the Joel death happened.

He said he immediately dropped it because it was such garbage.
>make TV show based on universally-reviled sequel to a beloved game and change nothing
>it gets universally reviled

Can I just say that the more TLoU exists, the more I just hate the fungus zombies concept? Idk, it seemed fresh back then and maybe it was but nowadays it just gets me eye rolling as its rather stupid and unrealistic if you think about it beyond just scary looking images of ants. Its not possible for a fungus to make an evolutionary leap this hard and this powerful at once (and it does seems to have been at once) like its some kind of hive mind. Nvm that the moment the governments figure out where the infection is from, they are fire bombing the shit out of the shithole jungle where this fungus is coming from.

And I know TLoU is very US centrict but it begs the question how the rest of the world is holding up and it almost makes you there isnt anyone left when this would hardly be the case IRL.
This I think some of the reason this awkward and unearned romance gets so much screen time was in response to the gay episode in the first season that people liked.
I knew we were stuck in normie central the moment that episode came out and it was praised despite being so blatant in its propaganda and ironically enough, denying us a GOOD portrayal of a gay person and gay relationship that wasnt implied to be hunky dory and ends rather tragically and grim.

But hey, why dare to show gays arent the next best thing since sliced bread, surprised they didnt make Bill black as well.

Im not sure who but I also do recall one or two farmers unironically liking the episode too, who Im very sure wont make themselves public about it now.

Faggots.

Somebody actually hoped different after Joel's death again?
And why Cuckman is so obssesed with retelling the same awful shit twice? It's stupid, even from him.

He is a prideful bastard, its not "awful" in his eyes, we are the awful ones for not enjoying his masterpiece.

Druckmann legit feels like a classic example of narcissism, he seems legit mentally incapable of seeing his creation as anything less than perfection.

Look at all the faggotery, i guess they havent got the message after Trump won. All this pride shit is dead and done.

Maybe showing that their gay society was literally struck down by an act of God/Mother Nature, thus proving their ideology wasnt meant to last, isnt the W they think it is.
Also where the fuck is Abby? She literally hasn't had a single scene in the last two episodes and she's supposed to be the whole reason they're even in Seattle.

Either they are saving her for later episodes or they are going to make S3 focus entirely on her.

Idk why they would but they had to justify S3 somehow when there is no Part 3 (and it seems very likely that there wont ever be)
Gonna sperg for a moment but it is so obnoxious how terrible that Pride rainbow heart is so in-your-face and doesn't fit the setting at all. I do a lot of scale modeling and weathering is key to making things look more realistic, because perfection does not exist outside of showrooms. To that end, I have done a LOT of study and staring at old painted shit and that dumb heart straight up doesn't look like it's been sitting there for twenty-odd years. Namely, the paint doesn't look like it's been subject to two decades worth of sun and rain which would have drastically faded out those colors and worn it away to the point patches of white (or even base color) brick would show. This sign had to have been maintained far more recently than when the outbreak happened.

It was worth it for the blackrock check, goy.

Imagine being Moner in that scene and having to be all like "damn, Bella Ramsey, you f**kin' fine, all sexy with your tight body and horrific androgynous potato face. I would totally have sex with you, both my character and the real me."

I will never forgive these kikes 🤮
And the recurring comment to anyone trashing this spud is "Oh so the young girl wasn't hot enough for you?"

No, it's two things. She looks zero like Ellie. And she's so ugly that it's distracting. The cure for humanity is this mong lol. I can't imagine a woman carrying a baby for all that time, and THIS is the result.
You could probably stretch it the rest of the way and say the cordyceps is the reason she has that face., but of course they won't do that.

Did some looking into it and according to the first game, the infection came from imported South American crops and outbreak first happened in the States.

Except the timeline for how the infected act is completely nonsensical. Upon consuming the infected crop, it only takes about two days for a human to turn into a violent Neanderthal incapable of higher thought, and in two weeks they start actually growing the fungus on themselves while going blind. A year is the maximum required to result in your standard lettuce-faced 'clicker'.

But at the same time, within 7 months, you somehow had 60% of the entire US having been infected or killed by this virus. One that evidently does not spread unless a given host survives for a decade and dies in optimal conditions. Since said virus does not provide things like natural insulation to cold weather, while also lobotomizing its victims...this shit would simply kill itself within a year by all the hosts dying of exposure, starvation/dehydration, or classic headshots because the national guard and army would definitely be enforcing quarantine lockdowns. And it probably would be very easy to identify infected since, y'know, they all turn into violent animals incapable of higher functioning within two days and thus wouldn't respond to verbal commands. Also, the game lore dumps most of what I said earlier in a newspaper article dated September 26th, so that includes all of winter between 2013-2014.

Which was one of the coldest on record.

Sure, zombie outbreaks are dumb and require suspension of logic to even work, but the TLOU virus is especially just not happening without literally rewriting history to do it. It also is likely why the HBO show had to push it back a decade to even make the idea more plausible in people's heads to begin with, but that in of itself just creates more problems with the show's heavyhanded LBGT iconography pushing as discussed earlier.

I just started playing the sequel. I'd like someone to clear up an important thing about the main plot.

In the first game, it's established that Ellie's brain can be used to develop an antidote, but she'll most likely die on the operating table. Ethan saves her at the last moment when he realizes this.

HOWEVER. I'm not sure if I dreamed this or not, but isn't it heavily implied (maybe in some documents that you find) that the Fireflies are actually incapable of making the antidote because they lack the resources, such as sterile labs and professional equipment? Which means that Ellie's death would've been for nothing.

If so, does anyone in either game acknowledge this or is it something that only you, the player, are aware of?

Ingame nobody acknowledges that the Fireflies are doing surgery in an old & compromised surgery room.

Out of Game, Cuckmann has changed the surgeon's attire & room to be more sterile and clean in Part 2 and in the re-re-ree!massa of Part 1.

Either way killing the surgeon because he'd operate on a girl without her knowledge and Fireflies not being particularly competent makes Ethan always right.

Apparently it was some mandala effect that Kikemann never bothered to correct anybody on. The relevant collectible only referred to research on infected people in general, not specifically immune ones.

So Ellie didn't know that she was almost certainly going to die during the operation? OK, that makes sense. I played the first game 2 years ago and I'm already forgetting important details like that.

Yeah, during the first game, Ellie and Joel didn't know that the Fireflies were going to sacrifice her life for a possible cure. They thought they were just going to draw blood or some shit like that, and Ellie told him that they can go wherever he wants after it's done.

Not to mention in the game Ellie and Joel first ended up in another abandoned Firefly base that served as a scientific research center and the whole place went to shit because they were too dumb to handle their lab monkeys (nice reference to 28 days later btw)

At this point it feels like the zombies may as well not even be in this franchise anymore as it pretty much revolves entirely around gay drama instead now.

Which is a moronic argument any way you cut it.

Beauty is an objective, innate aspect humans are hardwired to recognize, since it's based on a few crucial factors that you can even crunch into hard numbers.

You don't need to be attracted to a specific person to understand, on an intellectual level, that a person is attractive.

Putting aside my general disgust for child beauty pageants, there's your proof that some children are better looking than others. You can apply the same logic to child actors - the vast majority of them do not get roles solely based on their ability to act, but also based on their facial proportions.

Even ignoring all that, the mongoloid that plays Ellie is an adult in the legal sense, so even if we were to adhere to their deranged logic, you would still be able to call the animal hideous.

This is just another liberal attempt to weaponize language to shut down dissent.
