They're very poorly attempting to show she's hiding her pain, but the problem is that you don't get the feeling that it's actually happening or genuine. Mainly because both idiots wrote her as a quippy and mouthy cunt for the entire run. They also did not give her any private moments to "drop the facade".

Dunno if it's Cuckman trying to make his game look better in comparison by crashing the show, or if this is just fucking Marvelitis where they're literally incapable of processing negative emotions.

This I think some of the reason this awkward and unearned romance gets so much screen time was in response to the gay episode in the first season that people liked. It's also pretty clear Cuckman wants to make it so that when Dinah ditches it hurts more, since he clearly is fucking insane and should be booted from power. He's literally doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Also the funny thing is that by emphasizing this horrible romance that came out of nowhere, it just turns off most of the audience. And the focus gets weird given how hard they downsold the Joel romance sidestory that existed in the first season.

This I think is Cuckman trying to re-litigate and improve his fuck-awful story. Abby was loathed by the filthy proles in the non-art industry he thinks he's better than, and he likely also somewhat is scared that she'd be hated by the TV people too.

Though again, to be fair, this might be the TV guys idea too. Who knows.

So, the outbreak happened in the TV show in 2003, so we're over twenty years removed from that...and that fucking mural looks like it was maybe painted last week (which it probably was) and then had a quick bucket of dirty water thrown at it.

Gonna sperg for a moment but it is so obnoxious how terrible that Pride rainbow heart is so in-your-face and doesn't fit the setting at all. I do a lot of scale modeling and weathering is key to making things look more realistic, because perfection does not exist outside of showrooms. To that end, I have done a LOT of study and staring at old painted shit and that dumb heart straight up doesn't look like it's been sitting there for twenty-odd years. Namely, the paint doesn't look like it's been subject to two decades worth of sun and rain which would have drastically faded out those colors and worn it away to the point patches of white (or even base color) brick would show. This sign had to have been maintained far more recently than when the outbreak happened.

And hate she is getting. There's a GTA RP streamer I watch sometimes and somebody asked him in chat what he thought about the show around the time the Joel death happened.

He said he immediately dropped it because it was such garbage.

The first game was about a dad who lost his daughter and ended up protecting Ellie because she was like a surrogate daughter to him. You're supposed to find Ellie cute in the way you would find your own daughter cute and want to protect her too.

Isn't the whole pride thing only start to become popular in the mid-late 2010s thing as well?
If were following the games timeline its at least accurate because it's set in 2013.
Don't you fucking love historical revisionism in mainstream media these days.

Thank you, I knew all this rainbow pride bullshit couldn't have happened around the time of the 2000s but I couldn't find anything that was a surefire confirmation that it was just something relatively recent and not me just being an ignorant child who cared more about toys than social movements.
