The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

This was the aloy concept art in question, when she started out more stylized.

They nailed it right off the bat.

Her skin looks pretty off actually, a little too pale.
That's the lighting I'm talking about texture. She has no pores or hair on her skin.

Games have been set in the real world for years now, but they weren't pushed to look photo realistic. Compare OG Resident Evil 1-3 to the remakes. Nobody feels like they have to compete with big titty low res polygon girls. When you turn out the same game in a crisp 4k photo realistic textures, then suddenly that thing you see on screen becomes a lot more intimidating to the sexual hierarchy.

Resident Evil was supposed to be a play on B-Level horror movies. It embraced it's camp. Now it's photo realism with a tomboy rather than a model looking chick showing off her shoulders and legs killing zombies. Like I said, this is becoming a huge problem with SONY. They're garbage.

I'd still lay pipe in that Jill. That's just a visual portrayal of a woman who is not dolling herself up, far from a "tomboy." It's not going for straight up androgyny like TLOU2.

Eh...I never had a problem with Jill from RE1 remake especially in her Stars outfit. I can understand the photo realism sentiment. It doesn't make much sense in a fantasy setting or for a story that doesn't want to take itself too seriously.

Really? The bodies alone are a huge difference, especially the waist lines. And while RE3 remake didn't go full TLOU, the proportions are still aimed to imitate your average every day thin female. The OG Jill has a far more model-like shape.
I think RE3R Jill looks great. Could maybe do with some Vitamin D tablets but other than that I don't see the issue.
If they remodelled Leon Kennedy to the same degree I'd take issue, but look at the original 3 design. It's quite basic, in no small part due to the limited hardware at the time. I'm trying to think how RE3R Jill would look with a skinnier waist and wider hips and, I dunno, could work, but they've clearly reimagined her to be less of a model and more athletic.
At the very least, you know, unequivocally that Jill is a woman. She can probably do chin-ups and her cardio's great, but the devs conveyed innate femininity there that's just absent with efforts among a certain other dev team.

She actually has a few costumes that make her look normal and not a drugged out crackhead.

The rose event's outfit, the summer one, and the fan appreciation all make her look normal.
I got the mod to make her look like someone I'd trust with my life. Those costumes just make her look better.

Just kills me that they thought that was a good design. I'd be checking if she'd been getting into my stimulant powders or something the way she looks without costumes... wait, she does dig through that trunk...

It the super collectors edition, retail price $229.99:

So a bunch of memorabilia of the character they murder for no fucking reason at all?

Why not have a special edition for the she-hulk roided out troon? I guess they know everyone hates that piece of shit.
