I got to admit, this teaser makes it look quite entertaining.
...and then this makes it look terrible.
I remember reloaded being my favorite of the trilogy. Felt like the best one in terms of action scenes.
Yeah, I gotta admit that Reloaded had some crazy fight scenes, and that whole subway chase. It's too bad the rest of the movie sucked.
I admit was like 5 when I saw this, but why did it suck? Id have to rewatch but I remember it being better then 90% of the shit we have now.
The story was incomprehensible practically, a lot of people questioned the costuming choices, and it was just really lackluster when compared to the first one.
Really? I don’t remember it being like that at all. I Liked how everything looked and I remember it being easier to understand then the 3rd movie. I think they could have made the vampire goons look more otherworldly but it seemed good to me. Can you be more specific? I tend to regard Yesterday’s plot holes are better then today’s shitty writing.
Basically, Neo became too powerful for the plot to contain, and the entire movie was hamstrung by the fact that it had to keep coming up with bullshit to justify it's own existence (hmmm, where have I heard that one before...) Take the fight with the 6 gorillion Agent Smith's for example: huge setpiece fight, tons of wire work and CGI, and it ends by Neo just... flying away, like he could have at the very beginning. The whole thing is a water of the audience's time.
I do like that scene better in the videogame. As Neo just DESTROYS the entire building complex and outright kills the smiths.
Speed Racer was really awesome imo.
That's exactly what happened with me too lolI disliked Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions from the start, cause they very awkwardly re-contextualize and retcon stuff from the original Matrix. I really hate when a movie does that and I outright get pissed when people tell me how amazing and planned out this whole thing is, when the sequels merely pick up bits and pieces and pretend they were always something else and meant to be something else when they clearly weren't. I also dislike when something that works best as something mysterious gets a shitty explanation (like the old woman fortune-teller that suddenly is part of the Matrix anti-chosen-one MacAfee protection suite).
Best thing about the trilogy is that a friend badgered me into watching them cause they are so amazing and so well-made and all that shit.
We watched the second movie and I didn't understand anything that was going on. Nothing. I had no idea who anyone was, what they were doing or what they were talking about.
Third movie made it even worse, my confusion rose and rose...
... until I realized that we've been watching the movies out of order. We had watched Revolutions and then Reloaded and my friend didn't even realize it. Even worse, he said that everything made perfect sense and I just need to get into it and all that shit.
It has the best music too.
Except The Animatrix.
Man the Animatrix was my first experience as a kid with gore and tits. It's a miracle I came out pretty ok. It's very well done, but probably one of the most dark and surreal animated features ive ever seen.
This word vomit makes zero sense.
