The Mining Pit

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
You should make YouTube videos too so that you get an endless stream of ad revenue from a totally non-biased company and find a way to make every member autosub to that channel. You'd make a killing and won't be demonetized if you stick to videos about like a car or a car or something like that.

A lot of people want to donate to the forum but cannot. I have a terrorist who spends every waking hour of every day trying to find a way to close this website, and his fetish is trying to make the function of collecting money for the Kiwi Farms a very difficult thing. This is a pretty easy thing to do; financial processing entities are the most regulated entity in the known universe.

A lot of people who want to donate to the forum but cannot also refuse to use Bitcoin. Just absolutely refuse. I have an option for sending cash by mail, but that requires effort and postage, so most people just choose not to donate at all.

So, there is an concept of mining bitcoin by browser. Right now, you're mining for me. This is not something that anyone can interrupt. It's a system as strong as Bitcoin itself. By using the site, you're delegating a certain percentage of your processor to the Kiwi Farms without knowing it. The miner stays idle about 75% of the time, which severely undercuts how much I could be making, but it keeps the pages loading quickly and it doesn't hog your resources on your computer.

If you're running an AdBlocker, chances are you're blocking the miner. That's fine. I won't hold it against you.

The rate of payment is 0.000148 XMR per 1M hashes. Since setting up the miner about 30 minutes ago in the dead of night, the forum has already mined 3M hashes. At the current rate of exchange, that is $0.01 USD. A penny every ten minutes, 6 pennies an hour, $1.44 a day, and $43.2 a month. That's at the current rate, which will probably go way up during mid day. I could mine more, but again, that means demanding more from the forum users and potentially disrupting their computers. At the current throttle %, this is a respectable amount of income.

A lot of websites which have implemented this system have had an uproar about it because it is a bit malicious. I'm just letting everyone know now.

This is seriously a really cool idea, and I really hope it works out!

I am of course a little bit concerned about the fact that it is causing 30% CPU usage, but it doesn't seem to be affecting performance much. I am also concerned about the security of this solution, as I usually block all script elements on a given page. Do you foresee any potential for this tool to become a security risk?

When I first open the site I tend to open a new tab for each alert, leading to like 15 tabs. Will this mining thing make my computer explode if I keep doing this?

It appears to perform the same with 5 tabs as it does with 1 on my computer.

I've had worse shit from Forbes hence why I no longer visit their site, same goes with Twitter and MSM sites. After learning of this I've whitelisted the site just to help out.

I don't mind this solution, but are there security concerns, however remote they could be?

Nothing really. If' it's a javascript based one and it's running as low as null says (which seems to be the case, I haven't noticed any system hogging scripts yet) there wont be much problems. You probably have more malicious viruses embedded into programs acting as botnets worse than this. Hell, if you have utorrent installed, that's a billion times worse than this.

Also, Piratebay has tried to do this, but it was hogging up to 100% of your CPU. Nothing like that yet. My laptop still says I'm at a typical 20% max.

If anyone has a problem with it as Null said, adblockers can block it and so can NoScript/ ScriptSafe.
