Do you foresee any potential for this tool to become a security risk?
The mining pool has a very vested interest in making sure their code is unmalicious. I can't imagine it being anything more than it is. They can't do anything worse than a regular JS file could, but if they became malicious I'd simply remove their code.I don't mind this solution, but are there security concerns, however remote they could be?
Forbes is THE. WORST. I've actually sent them emails about how awful their advertising policy is and they ended up CC'ing in developers to talk to me. I think they've lightened up since.I've had worse shit from Forbes
They run theirs at 0% idle. We do 75% idle.Also, Piratebay has tried to do this, but it was hogging up to 100% of your CPU. Nothing like that yet. My laptop still says I'm at a typical 20% max.
Idling works as long as your computer is on. If you keep chat open 24/7 you're also mining for that time.So if I idle on KF does it make you money or do I have to actively browse?
