I agree that the Jazz have effectively shown the league that they are not contenders for the next few years. However, I think their trade with the Timberwolves was a smart move. They got rid of an overpaid player in Derrick Favors and gained some much-needed draft picks and young players. In addition, they freed up cap space to sign other free agents in the future. Overall, I think this was a good move for the Jazz long-term.

I agree in the long term it's good for the Jazz, but the narrative that the Jazz flecced the Timbs is ridiculous. Timbs are a late playoff contender now.

I think it's a good move for the Jazz in the long run, but I don't agree that they "fleeced" the Timberwovles. The Timberwolves are still a playoff contender and will be for years to come with their young core of players.

One NBA star acted like Ray Rice or Tiger Woods.

The wife of Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges spoke up on social media early Friday morning to share details of her alleged assault that took place earlier this week, leading to the NBA player’s subsequent arrest.

Mychelle Johnson, 24, posted a series of photos to Instagram that show cuts and bruises to several areas of her body, including her face, back and legs.

"I hate that it has come to this but I can’t be silent anymore," Johnson wrote in a lengthy Instagram caption. "I’ve allowed someone to destroy my home, abuse me in every way possible and traumatize our kids for life. I have nothing to prove to the world, but I won’t allow anyone who could do something so horrible to have no remorse and paint a picture of something I’m not."

Phoenix Suns’ All-Star and newest All-Time First Team NBA honoree Devin Booker is the new cover athlete for NBA 2K23

He also signed a four-year, $224 million supermax extension with the Suns yesterday as well.

And then LeBron did a suprised Pikachu face along karma biting back.

...However, LeBron may not hate Boston as much as he’d like the world to believe.

As it turns out, last year, James became a part owner of the Boston Red Sox, according to a March 2021 announcement by Fenway Sports Group, the parent company of the Red Sox.

Now, if Boston was indeed so irredeemably racist, why would James want to own a team there?

When word spread about the obvious hypocrisy, social media became a blasting zone for LeBron:

Bumping up this thread to pay tribute to one of my favorite old school basketball players who passed away today:

I always found him to be a much better player than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and it honestly had nothing to do with personal politics. He was practically the main reason why the Boston Celtics were regarded as one of those teams that had Red Auerbach and Bob Cousy as one of the biggest threats and greatest franchises to ever play basketball.

Plus, in high school, I remembered looking at his throwback pictures at being some of the best things I’ve ever seen:

Either way, he still lived a competitive and incredible life on the hardwood. He even has a Finals MVP named after his honor, and quite frankly, he deserves ”The Captain” nickname.

Long live Bill.

Today would have been Kobe Bryant’s 44th birthday. I still stand by the fact that he’s practically one of the main reasons why most older NBA fans stopped watching the sport and have been replaced by the younger crowd who doesn’t appreciate the league that much.

I just want to say thank you Kyrie Irving for being so based. You can live on your knees sucking Jew cock like that house nigger LeBron or you can stand like a man.

Kyrie definitely does stand.

We could said then ex-Chicago Bulls star Ben Gorden had been jinxed. He was arrested again, this time at McDonald's.

Former Chicago Bulls star Ben Gordon was arrested on allegations he beat up two security guards at the Rock ‘n’ Roll McDonald’s in Chicago early Friday morning.

Chicago police responded to a call of a disturbance at the fast food joint around 3:28 a.m., a CPD spokesperson said. CWB Chicago reported that it was the Rock ‘n’ Roll McDonald’s.

Gordon, 39, was being taken out of the restaurant when he punched a 29-year-old male security guard in the face and threw him to the ground, police said. It was not clear why he was being forced to leave.

Gordon also pushed a second male security officer, 21, to the ground, according to CPD.

Both victims refused medical treatment, but Gordon was charged with two counts of misdemeanor battery.

A source close to the investigation said that Gordon was no longer in custody, but did not have information about bail.

Just the fact alone that this news surrounding him is getting more and more absurd than the likes of people such as Robert Sarver and Ime Udoka getting canned for treating their own employees unfairly, to even Draymond Green still allowing to play after recklessly suckerpunching a teammate at practice, is just proof that the NBA only cares for headlines and not context.

I can see why older people in question miss the days when Jordan and Kobe were still in the league. It was never as insane as it was in the 90's.

Last week, the rap community was mourning the loss of one of the popular members of the Migos, Takeoff, tragically shot and killed at just the age of 28.

LeBron James reportedly paid tribute to him, but in a questionable way:

The questionable part came when LeBron said that he was a big fan on the Migos since 2010, but the odd part was that Migos actually achieved fame back in 2013 with their famous hit, “Versace”.

Now for the last few days, there’s been articles claiming that LeBron lied about being a Migos fan, but apparently there’s a new video that shows a compilation of the times he’s lied about the most unnecessary things over his career:

Probably a non-story, but it’s rather interesting how fans online and even haters are starting to realize how much LeBron lies about the simplest things just to make it more about himself.

Thought you lot would enjoy this autist. Lmao. He reminds me of CWC.

The NBA MVP award has been renamed The Michael Jordan Trophy, the league announced Tuesday. As a five-time MVP, Jordan has five trophies named for Maurice Podoloff — the league’s first commissioner. But after six decades of the award bearing Podoloff’s name, the NBA decided the time was right to rebrand.
The Jordan trophy will stand 23.6 inches tall and weigh 23.6 pounds — nods to his jersey number and six NBA titles with the Chicago Bulls — but is not a depiction of him. The chairman of the Charlotte Hornets approved the design, one that symbolizes someone reaching for excellence, but did not want the statue to be of himself. He also declined a request for comment through the NBA.
The league has rebranded almost all of its trophies in the last two seasons, even adding some new ones. As part of Tuesday’s announcement, the league revealed that The Jerry West Award is being introduced and will be given to the NBA Clutch Player of the Year, which, like almost all other league awards, will be voted on by a media panel. NBA coaches will nominate players for the clutch award.
Also, the Defensive Player of the Year will now receive The Hakeem Olajuwon Trophy; the Rookie of the Year will receive The Wilt Chamberlain Trophy; the Sixth Man of the Year will now receive The John Havlicek Trophy; and the NBA’s Most Improved Player will receive The George Mikan Trophy.
