The Chiefs are the hotness because of the Swifties, but Purdy is by far the more compelling football story. I wonder toward which side the League will tip the scales?
Purdy went from the laughing stock at our detroit bar to the literal bane. him slipping through what should've been simple sacks and picking up 10-15 yards was absolutely brutal.

I am going to consult with the rest of my NFC North bros. I think we can finally vote on nuking San Fransisco
I advise polling Washington and Oregon because you are only beginning to understand hating the Bay Area and we are experts on the topic.
Loop in Nevada too, they have their moments even if most of their ire is directed at Angelenos.

For my fellow wrestling/sports entertainment fans that understand rigged/booking, there are a lot of parallels between the way Vince McMahon would book WWE vs the way the IWC smarks wanted WWE to book things. Vince had his favorites (John Cena, Batista, Roman Reigns) as champions and the IWC would openly complain about preferring their darling du jour (Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Sami Zayn) to be booked as champion.

You're seeing a similar situation play out with the NFL. Uncle Roger Goodell (who has far surpassed WWE and AEW in the booking department) has decided to go for the proven big time star power of the Kansas City Chiefs (and Taylor Swift) and the traditional powerhouse of the San Francisco 49ers despite the NFL smark fans wanting something new in Detroit and Baltimore in the Super Bowl. Despite this vocal minority, Vince and Roger are going to book whatever damn well pleases them. However, in Uncle Roger's case, the Super Bowl is still the Super Bowl. Despite what the IWC smarks and NFL smarks think, the Super Bowl is the biggest event in television. The casuals that don't watch the NFL are going to watch this, and with the Taylor Swift crossover, for better or worse, there probably are going to be a lot more eyeballs on this thing than there usually would be, even if a bunch of NFL smarks say they won't watch or don't care.

truly disgusting outcomes today.
Only way this can be salvaged is if Purdy and CMC lead the white man to victory. White QB and star white RB. Bet the marketers hate that.
Words are barely sufficient to express how much I have grown to hate the Chiefs over the last 4 months. Mahomes and his fake dives are just the tip of the iceberg. Kelce today.....holy shit what a bitch.
I'd "like" to see a 49ers win but after today, I don't think anything will stop the ratings orgasm of the Swiftiebowl. Fuck.
Living in Chiefs Kingdom has given me whiplash. They went from the laughingstock of the NFL to the next dynasty in little more than a decade.

Like yeah, it was fun when they finally ended their championship drought a few years ago, but now they're the Poor Man's Brady/Patriots. It's like when the Red Sox broke the Curse of the Bambino; teams stop being fun to watch when they're no longer the underdogs.

Haven't watched a single game all year. Time to pretend to care again so that the Pod People bandwagon fans don't notice me.

I would have featured this thread had the Lions won the NFC Championship.

Anyway, the poll has been reset.

Let's be honest, with how KC played yesterday, they're gonna win the Owl. They were playing like the Chiefs we're used to seeing and actually had all three phases of offense, defense, and special teams nailed down perfect. Chris Jones is going to be a major problem for this San Fran O line if they don't keep a double team on him.

However, the 9ers have easily the best running game in the matchup. CMC could potentially run train over KC's defensive backs, especially if he can utilize that stiff arm technique against the LBs. Deebo and Aiyuk are legit threats anywhere on the field, but I think Deebo is going to end up being the number 1 target for Purdy.

I myself am probably being overly hopeful, but I don't think this Chiefs team is as good as last year's or even 2019's Chiefs. Whereas I definitely think this 49er's team is better than the last one that went to the Superbowl. Our defense improved in the second half against the Lions, we adjusted our game, CMC was great, Purdy showed he can come back and play well even after a first half like that. And while they haven't been consistent since the Ravens game, when the 49er's were playing at their best in the regular season they looked better than the Chiefs ever did in the regular season. They just need to get back to that winning mode.

Lions beat themselves. I think the play calling was bad in the second half, passing went from getting yards to trying to get a TD every 2nd down.

CJ Gardner needs to fucking learn to tackle and not get dumb fucking penalties. I swear to god he just does not wrap up. At least against Tampa they had the excuse of guys ripping their jerseys to get out of a tackle.

Also to double post @Trombonista can you put a voting option for both teams have myocarditis related injuries and no one wins.

Uniting the world with Patposting and nuking San Francisco

Guys who chose to throw into triple coverage on 2nd down should really be prescreened for CTE. That gave me flashbacks to that shit throw that ended the Packers v 49ers game. There should be some part of your brain that tells you you have a couple more shots and it doesn't really get more unfavorable than that.
Dude's a running back forced into the position. Cut him some slack.

Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift, and that fat fucking coach represent all the filth of modernity and excess.

Brock Purdy and Christian McCaffrey represent Yakub's finest creations, Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk represent the Asiatic race's fiercest xarriors, and Kyle Shanahan is the IRA's fiercest general.

It should be clear who deserves the Lombardi.
