Russell Wilson is fucking washed, Justin Fields is a retard who could barely handle running a much simpler offense and reading much simpler defenses in college. And I am so happy that Mike Dumblin got them both, as both of them crashing and burning worse than the Hindenburg is probably the only way Dumblin's dumb ass is ever gonna get fired. And that's exactly what they're gonna do. The only thing that sucks about it is it will take 2-3 years of Fields burning before they give up on him and hopefully fire Dumblin
I’m half convinced someone in the front office is fucking with Tomlin and seeing JUST how bad a team has to be before even he can’t use his mastery of voodoo and Steelah’s Bullshit to drag them to a winning record. The one-two QB punch of Russ-Fields might just do it, but the fact that I can’t say for sure that this might be the worst Steeler’s team he’s dragged to a Wild Card appearance is telling.

Him getting fired after finally having a losing season would be hilarious, but it’s the Steeler’s - look how long it took to get rid of Matt Canada, if they finally move on it’ll be too little too late.

Yep. Even got a baseball player kicked off the team for it.

Here's the story if you wanna be angry.
I've looked up a few stories about this, but I'm not finding anything that says that Fields was the one who got this guy kicked off the team. Everything I've seen said that he (Sasser) was filmed by someone else and that's what nailed him. It's a shame that Adam Sasser effectively had any dreams of going pro ended there (realistically he wasn't going to make it though just from looking at his numbers) and also his schooling at UGA, but I don't really see where that's on Fields.

Looking around, I found Sasser's (unless I'm very face blind) LinkedIn account and see that he's now is the owner of a pallet company in Georgia, so he seems to be doing okay at life at least.

Canada got fired once he hit the final year of his contract, and Art Rooney II consequently no longer had to pay a coach to not coach. This has been the case with Steelers OCs going all the way back to Arians. It's how Rooney fires people while claiming institutional stability.
Incidentally, for those wondering, this season is the final one in Tomlin's current contract, and despite both him and Art claiming this winter that they were going to get an extension done before the fall, we are now in the preseason and there's been zero talk of a new contract. Hmmmmmm :thunk:

I'm very optimistic for the Vikings, even though it was only our first preseason game our draft picks look good so far. McCarthy, Turner, and Levi Rodriguez all played well. JJ made some great reads.

I'm already seeing people bitch that he threw a pick, but they're also neglecting the fact he had third stringers on offense. He had two TD's and a solid completion percentage. Just because someone threw one pick doesn't mean they're a useless QB lol.

RGIII was a mediocre gorilla nigger in college and the NFL, the fact he's scammed his way into being an "analyst" is no surprise
RGIII fucking ruled in college you absolute niggerfaggot and everyone knows Mike Shanahan ruined that dude's NFL career in a single game.

He's total dogshit as an analyst though, there's no defending that.

Speaking of total dogshit, did anyone happen to catch Stetson Bennett's debut yesterday? 4 INT, very nearly 5, and leads them on a final drive, rollout TD pass at the end of the game.

I was thoroughly sports entertained.

Shanahan tried to teach RGIII to protect himself and learn to slide. He ignored that to keep playing hero ball.
Shanahan benched RGIII the first time he tweaked his knee and put Cousins out so the knee could heal. RGIII got so assmad about Cousins showing him up that he went to Snyder, over Shanahan's head, to force him back onto the field. Then the same knee got wrecked against the Seahawks and RGIII put all the blame on his coaching and not on his bullheaded egotism.
He was an absolute gorilla faggot who got everything he deserved, I don't care how many flashy stats he put up against Big 12 schools.

Man, now you got me thinking RGIII sucks.

I'll still stand by his Baylor accomplishments as a college fan but yeah, the gorilla faggot behavior does otherwise check out.

Fields never said shit about his waiver at all. OSU gave him a lawyer to help him get the waiver approved and people speculated his lawyer used this as the reason why, but nobody knows what the actual reason was.

It looks like y'all are right and I am wrong. Forgive me for being a retard.
God save my soul I think I am going to buy Madden this year.
Why would you do that to yourself?

From the previews it looks like they took a ton of notes from the team behind CFB25 and it might actually be a half-decent football game now.
Granted, all the videos out about it at the moment are from an early build from the same shill streamers who gush about the series every summer, but it does LOOK more like a good game. I'm holding off on anything until I can see someone EA hasn't personally paid go through a bit of franchise mode before deciding.

I was a RG3 believer but the dude is made of glass. How many injuries did he receive just running out of bounds or simply existing? It's hard to say how good he could have been since that rookie season was the longest he went before falling apart.

Caleb Williams is a literal faggot though who dresses like a woman and cries over meaningless games. Even if he has NFL-level talent (we'll see about that) he's such a weirdo that there's no way he'll last.

I was willing to give Williams the benefit of the doubt until I saw the purse.

Faggots online are trying to pass it off as this thing

But its clearly a purse

It should've affected his draft stock, honestly.

I remember someone posted a vid of his vert at the combine and pointing out how he had almost no stability in his knee joints. Even if he didn't play like a maniac he was running on borrowed time.

Do you really not know why everyone says FTP? You're not even aware of your privilege, the Pack has been consistently good for literal decades. Their last truly bad year was 2005, and before that 1991. You've won multiple super bowls and been to the play offs a gorillion fuckin times. The super bowl trophy is named after YOUR historic head coach!! I have to give em shit, it's the least I can do!

Fields himself seems like a pretty humble and chill guy. I think he blamed himself a lot for letting the team down.

Caleb Williams is going to be a fucking handful though. He was trying to get a no-tag clause in his rookie contract.
Well, here's a bit of a power level, however, I think I can bring a unique perspective to this conversation that you all might like to hear about.

I was at the Detroit Draft this year. It was a blast, hung out primarily near the McAfee crew. I got pictures and talked to most of the cast believe it or not. I was hanging just outside their media "shack" and I saw what I thought to be a Bears fan talking to Foxy. In what I felt was a weird interaction, I saw the man give Foxy his phone so that he could charge it for them. Curiosity gets the best of me and I stick my nose into the moment and I ask the man some questions. Turns out the man was a close friend of Foxy and he by extension is a "behind-the-scenes friend " of the Mcafee crew. (Trust me there's a reason why I'm telling this). We chatted about the draft, Macafee, Bellichek, and whatnot. After getting the general download of the guy, I asked him if he was a fan of the Bears since he was wearing their gear. The man replies that he used to play for the Bears as a punter.
I was surprised but it did click for me since he was very athletically fit for a man who I thought was just a fan who happened to be buds with Foxy. After another bit of chatter and hoopla. It stalled and there was a bit of dead air since both of us were just sitting around waiting. This is where I was feeling the 16-dollar-a-can crown royals they were selling there, I asked something that I honestly thought I would really really regret.

"So what the fuck happened with Fields man?"

The guy shook his head and started a rant of rants about the Bears organization. Turns out the locker room was very happy with Fields, they loved him, The guy attested to Justin's character. The issue he seemed to have with those at the top, specifically the GM he ended his statement with a simple
"I love Fields, I hate Ryan Poles"
With that entire interaction, especially with the fact he was a former player for them. It's all I needed to hear about the Bears as a franchise. They are a lolcow team and org. Through and through. Justin did all he fucking could to make a broken system look somewhat functional. The Bears are never gonna find success until they completely remodel as an org, which will not happen until the team is in a different owner's hands.
The reason why I tell this is to give you guys a general picture of an incredible conversation that I was able to have with someone of that stature. I consider myself, 1 a Lions fan, 2 a random drunk motherfucker at that time, and 3 someone who normally has no business asking a professional football player a somewhat invasive question about their previous employment. VERY lucky to even hear the footnote version of this situation.

So yeah, I'd say the Bears are completely fucked, Caleb is a shiny new toy in a line of QBs that have promise but never work out due to so much bull shittery the likes of which most of us will not see firsthand.

TLDR: I met a cool guy who turned out to be a former punter for the Bears who spilled the beans on the franchise, it's fucked Bears fans. Also sorry for the long read but It's something I consider special to even be able to hear in the first place.
