There’s a Jets podcast I listen to somewhat frequently (the Jets’ trials and tribulations are endlessly fascinating to me; I am far from a Jets fan) called Badlands. They put it put pretty good recently saying that is year zero for them. As a Detroit fan with no ill will towards Glenn (Ben Johnson is a different story entirely), I’ve silently been hoping he can turn it around over there.
I think they’re going to be top 5 in cap space going into next year, and I think they’re going to make a trade for a bridge QB for 2026 in the off-season. Everyone who more closely follows CFB than I (I only really watch Bama every Saturday) says the 2027 QB class is phenomenal - on par or better than 2024. I really need to see how Bama does in the playoffs but I really do like Ty Simpson for the Jets. I know it’s a chalk pick but he’s looked great for the last 2 months. I also understand this is his only year starting, but he spent a couple years fighting for that starting job, or at least hanging around that Alabama organization. I think Glenn has job security until the end of 2027, granted there’s not a monumental collapse or fuckup in there. There’s a lot of positivity around the Jets which is funny considering their record.
