Sportwriters are gigantic faggots so this tracks. I'm a Dolphins fan so BB is literally football satan to me and even I know he deserves to be first ballot. It's just because he was notoriously prickly toward sports reporters so they're getting their petty revenge.

It's funny watching Bowles and Glenn drowning in a puddle because the owners don't wanna fire them because they're black and the optics would look bad. Seriously, that's the only reason why those two are allowed to stay and fire their entire coaching staffs.
That plus the Ronney rule of a needed quota of black coaches

Yeah I've been thinking the same thing on that, Kwesi needs to GTFO. I think he has one of the worst drafting hit rates of the last quarter century and we literally always lose on trades he makes. We're also going to be in the bottom 2 or 3 teams next season on cap space... it's looking pretty shit for the Vikings and not sure what to be hopeful for honestly
He hasn't been able to draft a single starter on the defensive side of the ball. Like...that should raise eyebrows.

McCarthy might turn out to be good, I don't know, but they wound up basically forced to grab a rookie QB because Kwesi needs to go grab vets for the defense 'cause he cannot draft defensive players whatsoever.

Rams basically yeeted their entire defense after their SB win and filled it up with hits, so it makes you wonder.

Licht on the Bucs and Grier on the Dolphins have similar issues, though Grier is gone now at least.

This is why Hall of Fame voting should be public. If you think you are important enough to decide who gets the honor of being enshrined, you should not get to hide your votes.

Why not just make it both media and fellow hall members?

Huh, and here I was thinking it was all a smokescreen for them to bring in Deion. Guess even Haslam isn't that retarded

Though it is funny every team in that Division - except the goddamn Bengals, what kind of plot armor does Zac Taylor have - decided to replace their coach with "The same coach but slightly worse" all at the same time

The Bengals owner is notoriously cheap

In other news, the Jets are imploding. Moreso than usual.

You know, someone at work pointed out a stat that makes the general resentment the media/HOF voters have for the Patriots franchise into some perspective.
Every dynasty in the Super Bowl era has had a ton of their players AND THEIR COACH enshrined into the Hall. 70's Steelers? 10 players and Knoll. 80's 49ers? 5 players and Walsh. 90's Cowboys? 6 players, Jimmy Johnson. The 1985 Bears, who won just the ONE ring (though in an admittedly impressive, call your shot fashion), have 6 players. Ditka's in too, but I'm pretty sure that's as a player because lmao he was not a HOF coach.

The 00-10's Patriots? 3 players, only 1 indisputably as a Patriot, Ty Law. Richard Seymour and Randy Moss also are in. But Vinatieri, still the #1 top scorer all time, isn't in it. Vince Wilfork isn't in it. Right now the only players who are certain to get in as Patriots are Brady and Gronk, so 3 total. Include Seymour and Moss and you get 5 players. A 20 year reign of terror that resulted in fewer HOF players than the fucking 1985 Bears.

I get why the old guard among the owners were pissy, Kraft was nouveau riche and two legendary franchises, the Colts and Steelers, had their plans for the 2000's totally thrown off by Bill and his cutthroat way of doing business. But why the media seems to overall resent this team so much, especially when the 2nd dynasty started to come into being (that's when I stopped being mad and admitted to myself I was seeing something I wasn't going to see happen again), I don't know.

Way to continue to delegitimize the Hall with your gay little feud. People that hate that motherfucker think he is an obvious first ballot lock.

It also begs the question - if Belichick is not a first ballot hall of fame coach... who is? Andy Reid? Not by these criteria.

Stupid, stupid, stupid.

Belichick didn't get in because of Polian being a butthurt loser and the media happily going along with sticking it to Belichick because he never kissed their ass at any point during his career. Keep in mind that most sports writers hate the fact that they're just sports writers and not doing more important work, so they become extra bitter about players and coaches not taking them seriously enough.

They're literally just mad he didn't want to answer their stupid ass questions

This makes me MATI. Lowest completion percentage for qualified passers, more interceptions than touchdowns, the 2nd lowest passer rating, 3rd lowest on target percentage, 5th lowest Air Yards per pass attmept, all while benefiting from the most YAC per completion. What a joke.
I can't help but think that ShaDERP is coddled simply because his dad is Neon Deion, and for some reason that goodwill just keeps rubbing off onto him undeservedly. I also wonder if it isn't a bit of the league not wanting to turn him into a mini-Kaepernick after his spectacular downfall during the draft last year. If this dumb little nog flamed out and got released before his rookie contract is up, you know his dad especially would raise a stink about it in the media, and the NFL for some reason thinks it's still 2020 when it comes to DEI/racial optics.

Belichick has the perfect kind of Football Autism you'd like to see in a coach, though the second he was also made GM that autism really handicapped his personnel decisions. The less said about the latter years, his UNC run, or his girlfriend the better, they just show the poor decision making, but if you were to give Bill a podcast and just let him talk about his football knowledge he'd be great.
Bill Belichek will not be a first ballot hall of famer.

If you needed any more evidence that the voters are retarded, this should do it. Imagine not putting the greatest coach of the modern era who dominated the league for 20+ years.

What's the point in having a hall of fame if they aren't judging by how they impacted the game? Like just forget the whole thing, Fucking Lawrence Taylor raped a 16 year old and he's in it, so is OJ Simpson. The whole fucking point of the hall of fame I thought was to leave all the bullshit outside of the game!

NFL HoF is getting more ridiculous every year, and this just blatantly shows it. The Baseball HoF is ran by no-talent sportswriters who have a perpetual chip on their shoulders because they're all jealous no-talent faggots, and being inducted is as much about backroom favors and politics as it is on the field talent. I had genuinely thought the NFL HoF was better than that but I guess that I was wrong.

Also, Eli Manning once again got shafted from HoF nomination. It blows my mind that people like Eli, Hines Ward, Reggie Wayne and especially Joe Theismann aren't in the HoF but fucking Lynn Swann is. Yeah you can hate me and disagree, but LS was just flashy and had the name recognition. He wasn't even the best receiver on his own team during his career.

As far as OJ and LT, their issues came up long after they were inducted into the HoF. Although OJ did escape the HoF once.

Didn't they make TO wait on his HOF induction despite being a top 5 Reciever in terms of stats

Lynn Swann only got in due to his catches in the SB. So if we are going off of that criteria, Eli should also be in.
