Putting aside the bullshit with Bill, I do agree with keeping the qualifications for the Hall of Fame tight and not let it turn into the Hall of Very Good like has been done with other sports. If there has to be a ton of debate on you getting in, you shouldn't get in. For example Phillip Rivers. I think he was a very good player but not Hall of Fame tier with his record of failure in the post season. Whereas I think Eli should be put in based off knocking off the Patriots twice including destroying their perfect season for which that alone should earn him a fucking statue.

I feel like the Pro Football HOF has already become that. The Baseball HOF is slowly getting there, though.

That's my standard as well. It should be an automatic yes when you hear a person's name. When you have to do a deep dive into stats or lie about a player's importance to make an argument, it's over. You instinctively know when you're watching a Hall of Fame player, you shouldn't need to write an essay explaining why.

The Football's Hall of fame becoming a circus is simply it becoming like the League what with it's bunch of clowns in charge of multiple teams and Roger Goodell plus a whole bunch of players

Didn't they make TO wait on his HOF induction despite being a top 5 Reciever in terms of stats
Yeah. Eligible in 2016, they made him wait until 2018 despite being clear first ballot. (fun fact: 2017 was when Jerry Jones got in so yes they literally snubbed him for Jerruh)

They probably could've let Dungy wait a bit more but he was super friendly towards the media and that makes a big difference.

Okay, I've got a little more hope now. We just need to see what happens in free agency and the draft.

Flacco is a Pro Bowl QB.

Glad ESPN decided to throw this in the MLB section.

Pederson has a statue but Vermeil doesn't?
How long until he opens up a daycare?
A learing center, if you will
Bold of you to assume he wasn't already running 16 of them.
^Comedy pyramid^
In other news, the Jets are imploding. Moreso than usual.

And this week he did the same thing he did to Rodgers and had Wink Martindale come all the way in for the DC job interview only to tell him he wouldn't be calling the plays - Glenn would.

Joe Flacco is a fucking fag, he didn't deserve a fucking Pro Bowl in his prime, here sure doesn't need to be in there at 41. I'm sick of all the ass patting and just giving awards out because we feel bad for people. No wonder, this is the same league that snubs Bellicheck.
It just means that the only nominations that actually matter are all-pros. Pro Bowl means diddly squat because football is a high injury risk game, and the athletes who aren't fanatics/are on contending teams sit it out instead of risk fucking up their career.
Like, Russell Wilson, on paper, has 10 Pro Bowls. He really has 5. The other 5 times other, better QBs skipped the games and Russ was all too happy to play because he's a praise junkie with an inferiority complex.

You know that makes sense. I've never even watched a Pro Bowl game I don't think. I just thinking about it like Madden Pro Bowl where highest Ovr gets in. God, Russell Wilson, what a disappointment.

There were some rumors making the rounds online ten years ago back when Allen was still alive that he possibly was thinking of selling the team considering that the franchise was at its height of popularity. I don't think they were every verified to be true, but I have a feeling his estate is wondering when is the right time to make a huge profit by selling the team.

At least there's nothing that the football Hall of Fame could do as stupid as integrating the negro league stats into MLB stats. Holy shit, what an absolutely retarded choice that was.

I've heard his sister actually likes the team and would like to keep it but she's bound by the will to sell it.
