On the subject of single-appearance characters, I somehow doubt modern Simpsons would do a joke about a psychotic guy polishing his gun and getting ready to shoot up his workplace.
You know what episode of the Simpsons really bugged me? That new Treehouse of Horror where Homer ate himself. It was less funny/dark and more just...uncomfortable.
I can’t help but feel they’ve done something like that before.
See, now that was funny.
Haven't watched the show in so long, poor Dan can't hit Homer's voice just right anymore.Aqaba-
See, now that was funny.
But this?
2017 ToH was really supper nastyAqaba-
See, now that was funny.
But this?
OK this isn't funny at all, it's just disgusting.Aqaba-
See, now that was funny.
But this?
Fuck that, compare this shit to the Treehouse of Horror episode where the teachers turn into cannibals. It was both hilarious and scary. You never actually see the process of the kids getting killed because cannibalism in and of itself is already disturbing enough.Imagine how the old Treehouse of Horror episode where Bart raises the dead (but the car is OK) would've been (re)made in "Zombie Simpsons."
Maybe modern Simpsons is trying to ape the edgy "humor" of modern Family Guy?disturbing
I ask that all the time. I wish it was like this again. This may have been said already, but I prefer the older animation. The CG-generated current animation is "too cold and sterile." One may ask "where's the heart?"
I wouldn't doubt that.Maybe modern Simpsons is trying to ape the edgy "humor" of modern Family Guy?
I like to think of it as 2 different shows and not really care about the newer one.I just keep thinking of the brundleflypod
I remember seeing "Ol' Gil" as the lawyer the first time. I was like "where's Hutz?"Post Phil Hartman Simpsons
