But that fact that there was a "successful treatment of a gender dysphoric patient with pimozide" clearly indicates that someone was cured with that specific medicine. To that end, if you had a headache that didn't go away after taking Tylenol, does that mean your headache is there to stay? Or are you going to try, you know, another (of the hundreds of other) pill(s) that works for you?

I hate to rain on the parade, but that study was done with a single person. Now I wish that more large scale studies could be done, but with an N=1 study I doubt that it is a miracle cure for everyone. However it probably is for some, and should be studied at a larger scale. If only we didn't live in a hellhole that criminilised studying non-transition treatments for gender dysphoria.
Also one thing to note is the man in that study was given therapy affirming him as a man, telling him to retain his male identity. Today, a therapist who did that could probably get their license taken away. Even with that, the internet gives some mental maladaptations more staying power than they would have otherwise, as the internet lets you talk to others with the same maladaptations, and have them tell you its actually a good thing.

Back in the 70's the LGTV "community" adopted a policy of crashing psychology conferences and intimidate any therapists and psychiatrists who still believed homosexuality was an abnormal mental condition rather than heckin' valid.

It worked, its why being gay is no longer a disorder in the DSM, so I'm not surprised that +20 years later this study couldn't go any further and its been buried because if you prove transgenderism is a form of psychosis then homosexuality is next.
