Bit of a red flag for me, but who knows. The people leading the project could be just letting their artist do whatever, while the actual devs could be doing a decent job. But we won't know til it comes out.

I honestly would say the /tsg/ on /vg/ falls into the category of fucked up Sims communities. You'd think on paper it would be a wacky creative bunch, but instead its full of the weirdest fucking coomers writing live journal novels. Ten years of this shit, but alas /vg/ is the most autistic coomer related videogame stuff on 4chan.

This paying modders shit has been around since early 2000's with TS1, with some sites having a subscribers fee. And the people who purchase this shit are other women since they're none the wiser of how these things are churned out. Thankfully if you weren't some depraved coomer or woman, all of the fun mods were free.

nah not just you, it's kinda ok but it has problems of over detailing in areas such as the knees or clavicles where it doesn't need that much detail / line work. Idk why who ever is texturing the models like that thinks it looks ok

I'm biased towards the style of The Sims 2 (and the tweaked with mods style of The Sims 3), but one thing I'll give to The Sims 4 is that you can make pretty much anyone you want in it and it doesn't feel unfitting or like it's biased towards a particular style. Wanna make a 50s-styled family? Go right ahead. Gross hipster with an unkempt beard that'd catch crumbs from a sandwich? You can. Inhuman demon spawn? Go wild with the face tools and skin tones. Duke Nukem or Lara Croft? Just fuck around with the body stuff and you're gold. It's also very friendly to mods (the one saving grace of the game), so the possibilities are pretty much endless.
Paralives feels oriented towards a "hip and cool" aesthetic, like it's not really made to make anyone you want and just that demographic. It also has some gross-looking shading and a confused art style (cartoon but not quite), so that may be why it just doesn't feel right or like it's not even close to being finished.

Once again EA caved into the worst part of their fanbase, right after the pronoun announcement.
Not only Nu Bella looks like she has a bad spray tan, but they changed her iconic dress and made her chest smaller.

Well the original Bella has darker skin (as well as Cassandra), so that makes sense. But the children look Indian, for some reason. The only one who looks better is Mortimer, in my opinion.

Yeah I don't mind darker skin Bella but they messed her up real bad some how. She's supposed to be Italian and to zoomers dark skin always means black, brown, and Hispanic and Bella now looks more Hispanic, if not that just a white woman with a bad spray tan. Her outfit and breast size was changed just to not sExUaLiZe her even though Bella has always been the symbol of sex and maturity of the series which shows how childish modern Sims is now.
I agree Mortimer looks better, was never a fan of Sims 4's hipster Mortimer, he now looks like a classy old timey looking rich man like he's supposed to. You are right her kids bothered me and that's what it is, they look Pajeet now. That's another thing zoomers don't understand. Mixed skin kids aren't always both exactly the same in skin color. For example I've seen mixed race couples having a kid that looks more white while the other looked more black. So making their son darker skinned also is stupid.

I never realized Bella is supposed to look "Italian" until you mentioned it. Good thing you can always edit them in the CAS mode. Give Bella her bazzonkas back.

The sims has always been inconsistant with how Bella Goth is portrayed and the "new look" isn't much better.
For reference this is what the Goth family looks like in sims 2
There are two different Bella Goth characters with the face being the big difference.
The lighting on the new version might be bad but it looks like they all got the same or very close to the same skin tones which doesn't work because Mortimer is supposed to be a lot paler than Bella and Cassandra. The clothing they used isn't any better. They butchered Bella's dress and made Cassandra look more childish. While she originally has pigtails her clothing style is a lot more mature and just so happens to be gothic. The first version of Alexander's outfit was closer to the sims 2 version but the newer version feels more generic. Mortimer is closer to his sims 2 outfit but personally it would have been more fitting if they gave him an outfit closer to his sims one appearance if they were going to have him be closer to Bella's age and not an elder like in sims 2.
