I like the sims.

I mean, yeah, it's a fun game and pretty much everyone might find something about it they like. There's no real competition too because there isn't anything like it. It encourages creativity and many different play styles and mods make a lot of things possible - but of course that also includes really weird shit like Ghetto Sims, Cannibal Sims, Rapist Sims, etc.

I used The Sims once to recreate a whole bunch of aspies I know IRL and let them loose in a mansion. It was hilarious and insane.

I controlled one of them to take insanely long walks at late hours and sleep on the park bench every night. He went mad from the lack of sleep and socialization. 10/10 amazing fun.

There should be a mod where the house you make is the sim. That way the Google engineers who identify as buildings can play the game without feeling excluded.

god this thread should've existed years ago, the sheer amount of autism that surrounds this game still amazes me and i've been playing sims 2 for years

my personal favorite's this italian chick who was (and still is) so creepily devoted to this one premade sim that she spread her obsession every fucking place she went, to the point where you can't dig around any forum or fansite without running into her at some point, although i haven't seen her pop up since she finally got banned from modthesims

i kinda hate linking to the mare's nest but whoever's still running it managed to sum her up perfectly
