The Skeptic Community - Pseudo-intellectuals ranting on Youtube

Well yeah, the AI isn't perfect; I think in Theryn's video she mentioned that youtube is trying to work on that, as some people have had all of their content demonetized or multiple videos demonetized just because one of them broke the rules, and that they're working on people being able to appeal, as well known youtubers like Jenna Marbles and h3h3 have spoken out about not being able to appeal in that particular situation.
I really don't get why they don't predict possible problems and make sure they're ready for at least the major ones.

About the 'but TV horror shows get adds' argument I've heard a lot of people making, the main difference between TV shows and yt videos is the way they are being monitored. A documentary about Islamic terrorism has already been watched by TV producers and cencors, an Elsa and Spiderman vid like any other video isn't judged by its content but by it's title and Metadata. That's the reason why videos from the ' skeptic' community that use eye catching political or controversial terms on there Metadata such as nazi get demonatized

More Skeptic Community drama, Phillip Rose aka Pooka has labeled Armoured Skeptic/Greg Fluhre "alt-Right" and then when he was called on being inaccurate in the comment section under his own video he refused to retract his statement and got all passive-aggressive and smarmy.

I don't know anything about this Pooka guy btw but he's acting embarrassing and I want to know more, so if anybody knows who this is and has stories of previous drama, now would be a good time to tell them.

Advertisers gotta adapt, what with TV going where it is. So do the YouTubers though, and I know Andywarski and MrRepzion have gotten sponsors.

Because it's not really a problem for Google. YouTubers aren't actually the customers. They are the product.
I see it as: The audiences of the youtubers Google advertises to are the product and youtuber's content is the vehicle. What makes you think the people Google pays to produce content with a portion of the ad revenue the product? Genuinely curious because you could very well be right too and the truth is somewhere in the middle.

Yeah, it is in the middle.

They are not actually paid to produce content. They produce content entirely on their own dime. They are not providing revenue for Google, writing checks, etc, particularly if they are creating content that doesn't "add value" by being an appropriate platform for advertisers to safely utilize. They are doing a more labor intensive version of making a post on Facebook, so other posters on Facebook have a reason to be on facebook incidentally looking at ads. They are part of the community, and that community, as a whole, is the product. The advertisers are the customers. Demonetizing any given video is no skin off Google's ass, and there is absolutely zero incentive on Google's part to bend over backwards for content producers, when there is an endless well of people willing to shitpost on Youtube for fame and sponsorship internet bux. In business terms, giving content producers at YouTube any cut of the ad revenue at all is a favor, it's incentive, sure, but you don't have to do it. Derps will derppost for free.

From what I recall from UK history classical uk liberals where often a bunch of spineless do nothings who only acted when radicals and later socialists pressured them into pushing forward limited reforms because the Tories where being stubborn.

Although i'll admit I don't know anything about Americans classical liberals except a lot of republicans claim to be one when they're challenged on how much time they spend bitching about democrats when it's a republican in the house.

So edgy Sphinx(under a new name) decided to make a video attaching centrists

Is this guy seriously mad that people won't subscribe to a singular ideology? Correct me if I'm wrong; I watched like half the video but his voice is really jarring so I stopped for my sanity.

I swear the only people I see complain about this are the people who are mad that someone won't say they fully agree with a singular ideology. Like we get it, they're not "fully" on your side and they don't agree with everything you say and follow it like gospel, calm down. It really isn't that deep. They just have thoughts different to yours, and I sincerely doubt they're doing it to spite you and/or your political leanings.

"You centrists have to pick a side and do it fucking now, because you don't have mixed opinions, you're just indecisive. Get off that fucking fence!"

*thirty seconds later*

"Apolitical? Moderate? Oh, that's cool, do your thing."

The funny thing about these Skeptics is that they have their own hive mind, but they think it's a thought out personal opinion. I love when Skeptics try to call out other Skeptics for not "representing the Skeptic Community" as if there should be one. If your thoughts are truly based on analytical thinking, putting yourself in both sides shoes, and adding your individual personality behind your opinions, you all wouldn't have the same view. I don't get why they need to criticize each other's views if that's what the movement, from what I've gathered, says it's about.
