There are two types of chokes. Blood chokes, and air chokes. Blood chokes are significantly more dangerous than air chokes. Air chokes can take minutes to knock you out, where as blood chokes take seconds. Think about it this way, you can hold your breath for multiple minutes without passing out, but if you took a knife to your neck and cut the major arteries, you'd be dead in seconds. Place a hand on your throat. Notice how that kind of hurts? Now place your knuckles (like you're lightly punching yourself), in the middle of your neck, between your throat and your ear. Notice how much more that hurts? The first is an air choke and isn't particularly deadly, the second is a blood choke.

I think they're trying to use this to say that Floyd was killed by him cutting off blood circulation to the brain? They may be able to prove negligence if they're able to prove Chauvin had experience with Material Arts, and that he should've know that the location on the neck he was pressing on would cause a blood choke instead of an air choke.

As an aside, the woman was a casual employee at a nearby Gas Station, and she looks like absolute garbage. This is a man who punches people for fun, and he's well articulate and a collected person. I respect this man infinitely more than I respect that white trash who gave testimony before him.
