For people saying it's over, I wanted to reshare a blog someone else posted pages back. A defense lawyer analyzes the trial each day from the POV of the defense. It's super interesting to read compared to the ABC News "lawyer, political activist, and social justice warrior" guests.

OK folks, I won’t bury the lead—today’s trial proceedings looked a lot more typical for a prosecution presenting its case in chief than has been the case so far in Minnesota v. Chauvin. What I mean by that is that the state finally had a day in which its own witnesses did not end up doing the defense more good than themselves.

We’ve grown so accustomed to Nelson simply having his way with prosecution witnesses that today might appear as if it were bad for the defense. It would be more accurate to say it was not a great day for the defense—which is quite a change from past experience.

In truth, however, this is what every day of the trial should have looked like so far. Right now it is the prosecution in charge, presenting their case, in control of direct questioning. The defense is very limited in what they can do on cross-examination. They can’t simply produce their own evidence for the jury, they can’t argue with the state’s witnesses, they are limited in their cross-examination to only the issues the state has chosen to raise in their direct questioning.

I'm excited to see the other side's case

You guys are so stupid. Do you actually believe George Floyd is dead? LOL.

While we are all having our tax money wasted in this clown show of a trial, George floyd had undergone a successful male-to-female transition and is now known as Annamie Paul. They moved to Toronto Canada and is no less than the political leader of the Green Party of Toronto.

You know the defense is going to bring up expert witnesses as well, right?
I'm sure that will be the thing but my faith in defense being able to introduce enough reasonable doubt regarding what caused Floyd's death is at its lowest right now.

Try going back to the first days and remember the kinds of questions Nelson would ask to the witnesses. He was ruthless in forcing them to reluctantly answer questions that made Chauvin look like his actions as a police officer were perfectly reasonable. Part of that is because Nelson knew exactly what kinds of answers he was going to get each time.

Now compare it to yesterday's hearing and the kinds of questions he presented to the experts.
For example, he would repeatedly ask: "Can fent combined with meth produce different symptoms?", but every single time refused to specify exact symptoms and if they were relevant to the case. He had no reason not to do so IF he had anything to back it up with the way he did during the first days. But, instead, he chose to stuck with intentionally vague questions that are definitely not nearly as good at creating reasonable doubt.

Again, believe what you want personally, but I think it's reasonable to advise everyone to curb your expectations at least as far as the question of the reason behind Floyd's death goes. Better get surprised with a miracle than disappointed with a predictable outcome.

"Again, the real counterpunch from the defense can’t realistically be expected until the defense presents its own case in chief and calls its own medical experts on direct. We’ve simply been spoiled in this trial with how skillfully Nelson has been able to routinely turn the state’s expert witnesses against them. That is not the norm, and ought not be expected."

don't get blackpilled here fam
