Well apparently suspect_tweets is actually a teenager running this account according to the replies.

Now as we see here, suspect_tweets have done two things that are blatantly illegal so let's review them.

So for starters, they're underaged and people under the age of 13 cannot have a social media account and legally speaking social media and also most of the other online services cannot knowingly allow those under the age of 13 to even use any of their services under COPPA and it's because social media is known to run advertisements and algorithms that do collect people's data so that they can sell stuff to you and COPPA protects the privacy of those that are under the age of 13. There's a reason why you have to be 14 years and older to even use social media without any issues at least within the U.S. (and this is for those that don't know this).

As for the second thing, suspect_tweets is clearly violating federal law for distributing real child pornography and they can go to prison for that and yes in the United States they can put minors on trial as adults in a court of law if the crime they commit is serious enough.

So overall, this only proves my point to me that these jackasses are projecting on others. They have the nerve to call anime fans as being pedophiles and then claim they're 'fighting pedophiles' when in reality these stupid moral crusaders are a bunch of pedophiles themselves.

If you're going to commit a horrible crime then at least try to be smart about it so that you don't end up on a 'World's Dumbest Criminals' list then.

The goalposts have moved so far that now apparently it's an accepted take that teens can't be attracted to other teens anymore, fictional or not. I certainly do not consider myself an ally of people who think that writing depraved erotic fanfiction of anime characters is a useful way to spend one's time (at least write it with thinly-veiled OCs. Then you have a chance of getting a book deal and being the next Stephenie Meyer). But between the person who quietly writes depraved fanfiction featuring minors, the person who quietly reads depraved fanfiction featuring minors, and the person who hyperbolically spergs on Twitter about how fanfiction featuring minors is victimizing real children, well, it should be obvious which one is more entertaining (and detestable).

In the same way that the word "fascist" has lost all meaning in 2020 because there are so many spergs using that word to refer to homemakers with three kids and a minivan if they voted for Trump in 2016, if we start referring to drawings of big-eyed anime characters or fully-CG images using 3D models ripped from a PS3 game as "child pornograpy," then that word begins to lose its very severe and critical original meaning.
