It seems that they're more selective in who they attack. The only reason why they don't attack Rebecca Sugar herself is because that she is 'woke' enough for them.

If this was any other show that isn't as 'woke' as Steven Universe then they'll probably attack that as a hornet's nest swarms an intruder.

Well regardless, I don't know what Tumblr can even do these days because the website is very dead these days now. They don't have the same numbers as Twitter these days and Tumblr is going through it's heat death stage now.

I think at this point it'd be common knowledge that a lot of animators draw porn of whatever they're working on. You're drawing the characters over and over again, thousands of times, at one point you're going to get really bored and draw dick.

This used to be true in a sense because they owned artist sketches and sketchbooks produced in the studio, and a lot of animators and artists will doodle things in their free time that aren't made to make the cut. I'm sure some of it was porn.

I'm also not sure how it works now with a mainly digital art focus.

I’m a long time lurker of the farms, but this thread has always had my interest as I’m unfortunately a participant in fandom. If you happen to follow more than a handful of western artists, especially on Twitter, the “pedo/cp” discussion is a daily occurrence, so it’s fun to watch the various captures of the garbage fire that others happen upon.

Now I’ve felt no compulsion to make myself an account here as in any instance I have something I may want to contribute its usually covered already or not really worth saying, but I’ve stumbled on an interesting subsection of twitter that I feel is worth bringing up here.

An artist I follow started to occasionally retweet people’s posts about the horror of “antis/fanpol”(basically the "fandom police" types that make these callouts over people drawing a sexy anime girl), the traumas and “PTSD” they suffered at the hands of callout culture and harassment over their smutty art/writing, and all that jazz. I decided to go down the rabbit hole and look more into this community. There’s nothing much that one wouldn’t expect. A lot of “You’re valid"s and testimonials of negative internet experiences sandwiched between promos of the OP and friends’ latest chapter update of their favorite incest shota rape fic. And said testimonials come off so dramatic and emotional it’s hard to take them seriously when you realize they’re getting teary eyed over being yelled at online for openly gushing about a pair of twins railing one another.

However, what is relevant to this thread is that many of these accounts are particularly good at documenting the worst takes these fictional child rights activists can dish out. The post in particular that compelled me to post in here at all was this:

I did a cursory re-look through the thread to make sure this wasn’t already shared since it was initially shared in January but bumped recently, so rate me late if this is old news for here.

It’s a given from many of these types that they feel fictional art is worth ruining somebody’s life/career over, but I’ll give this person credit that they had the balls to openly state their insanity. Interesting comparison between white supremacy, nazis, and drawing a picture of fictional characters at the end, as well. These types tend to have no real sense of scale.

Another tidbit from this user in particular(made on a different account) is this amazing take that prisons are bad but extrajudicial killings of "pedos" (read: people who draw pictures of anime characters sexily) are good.

There tends to be a consistent back and forth in this community that being 18-19 makes you a child and that any person over 20 is a pedophile for dating/being attracted to them (fictionally or otherwise), but I suppose those "child privileges" can be revoked as it suits them.

There can be a whole debate had about the logistics and power dynamics of relationships with significant age gaps, but again, this weird infantilizing of young adults and treating them as if it would impossible for them to have their own agency if in a relationship with someone a bit older than they are. And how this mindset most definitely transfers to one's attraction to a fictional character that may actually be an adult, but...a baby adult, I guess.

I'm really curious as to where the child grooming allegations are from, because it seems like a major reach to say this guy grooms children solely because he accidentally followed some lolicon account, but I wasn't able to find any explanation other than that.

A final thought I’ve gathered from looking through these accounts is that a non-insignificant number of those part of this community are "ex-antis/fanpol”, and many of the testimonials involve being in tight-knit friend groups that were aggressively vocal about their contempt for “problematic content” and having to keep their true feelings under wraps to avoid being dragged through the mud by their peers. Even in my personal experience as a fairly small time artist, I’ve had friends jump ship the moment my “morality” in regards to fictional content became a public issue, not because they disagreed with my stance but because it would negatively affect their own clout if they dared support wrongthink. No surprise that my boyfriend, who manages to find his way into many vocal “antis” private accounts, found that there are quite a few people who virtue signal on main to block any suspicion from the fact that they create/consume said content or possibly just don’t care that much since none of it is real (how horrible!).

Apologies if any of this is formatted weirdly. I only ever use this site on mobile, so I'm not entirely sure what posts on computers are supposed to look like.
