Once again, the crusaders have targeted another cosplayer. Her alleged crime was "looking like a child" and enabling lolicons.

Those pictures came up in the vtuber thread, along with a "how it was done" picture showing how they made her look so small, but that thread moves so fast to forgive me for not searching for it right now. The gist of it was the baggy clothes to hide her very womanly curves plus clever camera angles to foreshorten her arms and legs. It's a pretty clever bit of photography.
At any rate, it's moot, since the Gura pics are not sexualized at all. So once again we have these antis seeing sexuality where there isn't any.

So, if I understand "the lore" correctly, Gura is supposed to be over 9000 years old, but as a character she's an adult, and she's also played by an adult. And in this case another adult was cosplaying as her without any "sexy" photos.
What was supposed to be the issue there? Just "loli reeee"?

I don't know if her lore gives her an exact age, but yes, her character is portrayed as an adult and is performed by an adult. And yes, it's certainly true that the character looks chilidlike and I have some sympathy for the argument that the 9000-year-old dragon loophole is stupid, it's moot when there's no sexualization of the character happening in the first place; there can be children and child-like characters in media without the vast majority of people getting horny about it. You probably could find people who wank it to the daily Dennis the Menace comic strip if you look hard enough but it won't be enough to really worry about.

Furries at least should know by now why fursiters have a terrible reputation and why people don't want them anywhere near children most of the time. They often don't respect the personal space of others and will act like deviants in public. Which is ironic that they think that weebs who are wearing ahegao hoodies is somehow a lot worse. At the very least the people who have worn it can control themselves at conventions and don't bother anyone.

And yeah, while there's certainly a correlation between lolicons being actual pedophiles (for obvious reason) and the non-anti side tend to refuse to admit that lolicon can be a catalyst to becoming a pedophile for a few autistic coomers; I've yet to see any evidence that such artworks encourage the abuse of children (and similar for 3DCG art, including that of non-IRL derived photorealistic art): in fact, I'd argue that for those who are struggling to maintain their urges it could be a viable cope for them, as was highlighted in the OP - certainly preferrable to actual CP, grooming or molestation in any way, shape or form.
On a side note, it's interesting to note that a lot of antis are underage anyway and are attempting to hang around NSFW communities despite their obvious underage status. In many jurisdictions I'm fairly sure this would make the owner of the community responsible for their actions rather than theirselves due to their underage status. (Well guess what, welcome to the fucking internet, shitbrains.) The fact these people can simply run away from it and put the blame on other people while doing other shit, and then be excused because "aww they're just young and confused" by the general public and mainstream media is beyond sickening.
