The fast forward could help to age up Carl. Judging by baby Judith it's been maybe two years, a time jump will help solve Carl's growth spurts before he starts growing a survival beard.

By the time they reach that part of the story it will be like season 10 and Chandler will be 20ish.

I loved how he just sat Carol down near the end of the episode and just went "Yeah this is all just pretend theatre bullshit but it's fun and it keeps my people happy and calm"

First I thought Negan was going to kill Daryl, then I thought he was going to iron his face.
 
And Negan was all like "Now Daryl, you can sit there crying and eating can after can of dog food until your tears smell enough like dog food to make Rick come save you, or you can join us."

Last night's episode was ok. Not terrible, but nothing special either. MVP for the episode definitely goes to Negan. His "I'm gonna get me a drink" line had me busting a gut.

Honestly I was kinda hoping he'd kill Daryl, not only would we all drown in fan girl tears but im kinda sick of Daryls bullshit, that plot armours gotta break one day!

It wouldn't bother me if Daryl bought it per se, even though he's consistently been my favorite character throughout the show, but his captivity actually gives them the chance to put him through a new character arc for a change. The time to off him would have been the season premiere.

This show fucking sucks now. Watched the big 90 minute episode and the episode prior today because I was bored and oh my fucking god it's like a soap opera. It's 20 minutes of characters grimacing at each other while Rick gets cucked by a cartoon villain, interspliced with 1 part zombies being taken care of so trivially and unenthusiastically you wonder why they're even there at all, and 99 parts Windows 10 ads.

Seriously, fuck this garbage.

While I like Jeffrey Morgan's Negan, a little goes a long way with that guy. He's crazy uncle shtick gets old pretty quick. New drinking game: take a shot every time Negan leans back accentuate a word.
 
I have a feeling they're only dedicating the first part of season seven to an explosive mid-season climax we will have to wait months to see the end of. It's what happened with season five, and season six prior. This isn't the worst episode I've seen (trust me, that's saying a fucking lot), but the building up feels like a series of teasers and not a fully fleshed out TV show.

Sad to say this is still better than most of season five.

"Now"

The show sucked in Season 2 when they stretched out a small bit in the comics when they were on a farm out to an entire season of everyone just having one on one trivial bullshit conversations on the farm.

The only reason to watch it now is to see live action recreations of moments that were great in the comics, not for an engaging story. Zombies were never a huge part of the story though, the first issue cover established the mood that the story is mainly about the apocalypse and living after and the zombies are just window dressing or frosting on the cake. Except on the show it's a shit cake.

I stopped watching it during Season 2 and I came back to it for these episodes.

I'd encourage anyone wanting a more thoughtful analysis of why TWD is so bad to watch YMS's review.

Cut your fucking hair Carl, Jesus Christ. I also hate the coming of age teen romance going on here between Carl and whats her tits. That roller blading scene was cheesy as fuck.

Then Commercials.

Maggie isn't cucked like Rick, but at the same time the latter was having an authority crisis already before Negan made tomato bisque out of Glenn and Abraham. Cue the Hilltop bonfire that has fuck all to do with the plot development.

Then Commercials.

What gets me bored to tears is Gregory being your money bags type crybaby who would make hiding two people in a closet the end of the world again.

Jesus is trying really hard at being neutral but it's just depressing to watch, speaking of which did anyone really ask for a 'Jesus' episode? No?

Then Commercials.

This episode sucked abscess donkey nuts. This is probably the worst episode I've ever seen in the entire series and I found the Governor executing Hershel the worst acting before this point.

is the show any good now? I know it wasn't in seasons 1 - 3 when I watched it but its finally reached all out war. Is it still shit?
