The Walking Dead

Man, fuck Kenny.

I spy with my little eye a Shitbird

I kind of gave up on that. How did it go
It ended being even more retarded than it started, the chick from The Americans ended up being a spy for the other side, they killed everyone where they came from, her dad is alive, they met up with a bunch of faggots in the woods, there's another season left and I'm just gonna read the fucking synopsis it's gayer than fucking CW shows.

Also Kenny was a fucking bro suck a dick anyone who didn't like him. He was basically the best part of Season 2, too.

Season 2 of the Telltales game made me love Kenny, warts and all.

The first time I played through Season 2, I sided with Jane, and then immediately regretted it once it was revealed that she knowingly put the baby in danger just to turn Clementine against Kenny. That bitch. I then chose to abandon Jane. And then, in the very next season, if you stayed with Jane, she ends up killing herself, allowing herself to turn, without a moment's warning to Clem.

Fuck Jane. She's the worst!

When I replayed the last episode of Season 2, I sided with Kenny. When Kenny's ending happened with him sacrificing his shelter and protection for the kids, I felt so, so guilty for initially siding with Jane. lol.

Kenny had his flaws, but when the chips were down, Kenny risked himself to help others time and time again. He did it for Ben/Christa at the end of season 1, and he did it multiple times for Clem and AJ in Season 2. If you lose a body part to protect Clementine, then I am on your side, dammit. lol.

I think a detail people dont give much credit for Kenny too is that, if you compare it to any other caretaker, he was the one that raised Clem for the longest. If you stay with him after S2, its shown years have passed, which means that Kenny is the one that stuck around the longest. The second one would be Christa and you can make the argument that she probably taught the most essential stuff for Clem's long term survival. Lee sadly only stayed with Clem a couple of months, maybe half a year at most (but obviously he was the one that had gave her what she needed to kickstart her long journey for survival and she would have been dead multiple times without him).

Altho I dont think Kenny had much to teach Clem at that point since she is a fast learner, he still made sure to try to keep her and AJ safe for years to come until his BS death by car crash. That is kind of disappointing is just how Clem never brings him up, at least not positively. The closest to a mentioning of him in S4 is Clem mentioning killing "a friend" if you did that in 2. Girl, he was no saint but Kenny stuck around the longest and you shouldnt definetly had some attachment towards him after these years together raising AJ. I know someone will say it was a technical limitation and even Season 3's fault for kind of gloosing over two major characters' deaths as just handwaved flashbacks but still...you would think that having Clem mention the people that lived and died to save her (Lee, Omid, Christa and Kenny) in a more favorable light. Honestly, a dream sequence showing these departed characters with Clem one last time would have been a touching send off for all of them, instead of just Lee.

Edit: Oh yeah, indeed, Christa is dead for me. The fact that she hasnt shown up ever since her "off-screen" death is confirmation she was shot dead. A real waste to me since Rebecca pretty much serves as a replacement and AJ was the same for Christa's baby....which while I love AJ, I think raising Christ-Omid's baby would have the better setup and investment since we stuck around with the parents for quite a while instead of getting the baby of two people Clem kind of just met.

It honestly drive's me kind of nuts to this day the games never addressed what happened to Christa's baby. The only explanation I can think of is that season 2 had different writers from 1 who didn't want to deal with a baby during the apocalypse which I can understand but why then did they write in another pregnant woman/newborn?

To be fair, one scene has Christa deep into pregnancy and the other has her not pregnant and no baby in sight. Its obvious that the implications is that it was a stillborn. Given the unhealthy amount of stress Christa had to go through during the pregnancy and with her husband being soo pointlessly and suddenly killed off...coupled that actual birth process are VERY complicated and messy, there is no way that a single girl would have been able to help much even if they did have supplies. If Omid were still around, I think the chances would still be not good but Omid's presence and help would have helped the situation. Besides, by Christa's behavior after Omid and her baby's deaths...she is just kind of done with everything. Her only focus is to help Clementine become independent and get to Wellington, avoiding things like groups because she doesnt trust ANYONE anymore (which she didnt do much before but outside of Lee's group, its not like she was proven wrong much...people are bad news as much as the walkers are).

Its just sad how Christa just had a miserable death, shot by a bandit while others were off to chase Clem, probably thinking she couldnt even do THAT well.

On the side note, now that I touched on the subject, fuck, Wellingtom truly thrown under the bus. In S2, they seemed competent and organized, not letting anyone armed get too close to the gate, being on a hill so they cant be caught off guard and being on a snowy area so walkers are slower than usual (walkers go into a "dormant" state when cold enough, barely being able to move). Big ass full of defense and advantage points. Man, these people seemed to got it.

Cue S3 and suddenly Wellington gets attacked by some bandits with a vehicle (again, how come that the sniper or snipers on the wall didnt began shooting the moment someone began to approach their gate threateningly ?) and aparently the bandits are winning. Seriously, where are the defenses?! You guys have the advantage points! The high ground! Pop these fools full of lead or drop a molotov cocktail to scare them off! I love how the chick at the gate was like "Welp, some asshole rammed the gate with a car and we are full of idiots, guess its time to throw the towel and run!". Yeah...Christ, I hated the writing in S3.

And the simple fix was to not have Clem in it at all, just say that her ending in S2 was her final outcome and stick with new characters! Guess they knew that people were pretty much still playing BECAUSE of Clem and they thought no one would care.

The thing that drives me more crazy is that the game never addresses what happened to Christa, let alone her baby.

There was enough information about the baby for us to assume that the baby didn't make it; that we got *some* answer, as vague as it was. We get literally nothing about Christa's whereabouts once she disappears at the beginning of season 2. That's literally something dealing with the plot that never gets addressed again, and it's frustrating. I guess we just assume that she died offscreen? Lame.

Part of me thinks that Telltale wanted to do some kind of spinoff, but when Telltale went belly-up a few years ago, it just fell by the wayside. At least we got a pretty damn good ending to Clementine's story, though. Season 4 was overall really good, and a good course correction from the lackluster Season 3.

Part of me believes Season 3 was MEANT to be that spin off. I always say to people that one of the worst things about S3 is that it forces Clementine when she doesnt "belong" in it. If S3 was its own spin off just set in the same universe I wouldnt have minded much some of its imperfections (Oh trust me, S3's writing still leaves a lot to be desired but I would be a bit more forgiving if they didnt drag Clem into this).

Honestly, if they made a spin off that is more tied to the comic's lore, indicated by Jesus being there, that would have been more interesting. Imagine if we met Rick Grimes and Carl? Maybe even a Negan small appearance. You could easily say this stuff takes place in the time skip the comics took post All out war arc. It would be neat to see locations from the comics in the telltale style. Its clear that Telltale kind of wanted to go closer to the comic's settings with stuff like the Michonne mini series.

People still watch this shit?

Everyone in my close social circle still watches it, so I watch it because it's gonna come up. Though at this point I think we basically all watch it because everyone else is watching it and it would just take one person to stop so we all would.

It's pretty sad because at least usually the first and last episodes of the season are pretty good, but I can't even say that lol

As far as watching it, it's in the background while I do some shit so it's not like I'm paying a lot of attention

This show was hot shit amongst me and my friends when we were at high school

Then season 3 came along, we enjoyed it at first, but it wasn't enough to keep us watching till the season finale

Nowadays I don't even think those niggas would know what I was talking about if I asked them about "The Walking Dead"

I figured I have watched it this long, I might as well watch the ending.

The first two episodes are available on AMC+. They are both very slow and bland. They need to pick up the pace.

Maggie is uninteresting now. The actress (Lauren Cohan) left the show to pursue a new TV show on ABC that failed miserably. She went crawling back to AMC. By the time she did, no one cared.

The only bright spot was last season’s bonus episode titled “Here’s Negan”. Mostly because Jeffery Dean Morgan and his IRL wife can carry an episode.

Couldn't agree more. And yeah the first one was slow and boring as shit, and I wish AMC would have agreed to bring Maggie back only to kill her off right away in a 'lmao that's what you get' kind of way
