The “would the earth be better if Germany won WWII” debate thread - The hypothetical on if we’d all be better off speaking German

At times like these any doubt I had that the good guys lost World War II in the long term is being erased.
I do think there would be negative consequences if the Axis won but this is ultimately the world the Allies fought for whether they thought of it or not.
These are just your far-left urbanites in Berlin and Jews like David Cohn-Bendit. Might as well call Jew Yorkers your average American.

If Germany won the war, I’d have to wonder how long the Nazi machine could keep going. Wasn’t Hitler known to have Parkinson’s and other health issues?

The other aspect is in the event the Fuhrer does kick the bucket, who succeeds him? Maybe Goebbels but even then, after that, who’s the coming man?

And with shit like Operation Valkyrie, Hitler made a lot of enemies, and I have to wonder how much of those weren’t isolated to the Fuhrer. So it’s not like Germany would be harmonious regardless of how much suppression there is.

Now for the rest of the world, the easy idea would be “/pol/ utopia”, but I do think that there’s a good chance that any prolonged Nazi state can only last for as long as Germany’s Allie’s have good relationships and Germany can keep hold of its gains, and can keep resistance from challenging the regime.

The only other thing I can think of is Africa, which saw the independence of former colonies in the 50s and 60s. All I can think of the Nazis doing is trying the Madagascar Plan again. Assuming all the undesirables aren’t already dead.

All Hitler needs to do is call in his paratroopers cut off the British at Dunkirk destroys the whole British Army wins the War the British sue for peace
As for the Russian crap Hitler had a volunteer Corps of nearly 1 million Russians
Hitler did not hate Eastern Europeans to this day the Latvian SS or celebrated by Latvia as Freedom Fighters
Eastern Europe has a positive view of Adolf Hitler because he attempted to liberate them
It's for the Soviet Union lasting after the fall of the USSR and they could just infinitely Retreat into the Russian Wilderness no one particularly liked the Soviets they were hated by pretty much the entire populous
What would happen after the war well liberal democracy would have been thoroughly discredited in the eyes of the vast majority of the world's population
Great Britain would have probably collapsed under massive war deaths
Hitler would have also most likely require Oswald Mosley to be released from prison after the war he most likely would be elected prime minister basically running on the message I told you we should have never gotten involved in the war basically calling Churchill a stupid person who wasted British lives and treasure on a completely pointless War
Adolf Hitler would probably die in the 50s and most of the German Aristocrats which was supporting Nazi Germany
Simply due to the fact that they dislike the Communist and the Jews would most likely overthrow the government and reinstall the German monarchy probably not return democracy and mix a lot of the policies with Nazi ideology
Secondly Germany would most likely Annex Poland most of Ukraine Bella Russia and Southern Russia would probably be in some weird special Administration Zone Romania would probably gain territory as well as Finland
Italy would probably demand control of most of the Mediterranean and they may or may not get it
As for the United States of America America would never get involved so Franklin delanor Roosevelt would crash the economy with his shity ass socialist policies causing an even worse Great Recession
The silver Legion and the American Bond become extremely popular and influential and eventually William Dudley Pelley becomes president
The Civil Rights Movement instead of being peaceful turns into a black militant attempted communist Uprising against the United States led by Jews and is crushed by president William Dudley Pelley

And as for the attempted removal of European Colonial powers from many parts of the world it would elderly fail simply due to the fact that the USRS or is no longer funding them
So they fall flat on the face against the superior might of the white man
Yugoslavia just collapses inter-ethnic conflict that's basically was bound to happen anyways

Well for starters, there wouldn't have been any Russia nor Ukraine...

Let's say the Nazis beat the USSR and have nuclear V2s by 46/47. Hitler controls the whole world and has no idea what to do with it. Remember Germany is a regional not a global power. Hitler really wanted the Slavic wheat belt. Consequently, the Germans would have had to rely on their subjects to rule their empire for them because they did not have the administrative capacity or capability to do so. Also, the Germans are very poor at conciliating conquered peoples so my guess is there would have been lots of revolts followed by massacres on and on.

Hitler and his cronies thought Pan-Europeanism was a lark and a useful tool to drum up men and resources for the war effort. It's a time honoured tradition to use "European" as a smokescreen for national aggrandisement. However, the next generation of Nazis were genuinely commited to a Greater Europe.

In a world where the Axis won the second world war and the world was turned into something loosely similar to the world of TNO (The axis defeat all of their major opponents with only the exception of America with the war drawing to a stalemate) I think the world would be something like this:

The world would be divided into five spheres or worlds.
The first sphere is the pro American sphere
The second sphere is the German block
The third sphere is the Italian Empire along with it's vassals and friendly nations
The fourth sphere is the Japanese Empire and their East asian co-prosperity sphere
The fifth sphere is more of a wastebasket taxon to describe the rest of the world much like how we use the term third world in our cold war.

These spheres are more or less (at least somewhat attempted) isolated from each other both culturally, domestically political, and potentially physically (in case of physical barriers) from each other. However all spheres interact with the fifth sphere geopolitically and the second and third sphere interacts with each other regularly (after all they share a border). The first sphere does regularly interact with the other spheres but in a more cold fashion. The point is that you would see different developments happening in these individual sphere that would take a considerable force to might break into the other spheres.

Overtime the geopolitical situation would change overtime and a possible winner to this world's cold war might happen. But overall humanity would experience a different but similar change of motions compare to our world.
To expand on this more
The first sphere (United States, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and most of Latin America and possibly South Africa and Rhodesia here)
- For America this Cold War is about safe guarding American Freedom at all costs while America is now on it's back foot. For America there enemies represent an all entrancing authoritarian racial evil that needs to be destroyed in order to protect it's people for tyranny.
-America doesn't have influence in Europe or the Far East and is effectively on it's backfoot for at least first few decades of this Cold War.
- The narrative in America is that of survivors guilt of not intervening sooner to save Europe from Hitler and now being the sole surviving leader in the free world.
- The first American proxy war would most likely going to be fought in Puerto Rico against Puerto Rican nationalists (like the people who tried to shot up the US capital building in 1954 in otl) armed by the former Axis in an attempt to weaken American holdings there.
-Throughout Latin America, the United States will continue intervening in there. The United States might back leftist death squads and guerillas to counter rightwing movements backed by Europe there. However the United States will back an Augusto Pinochet for an economics advantage.
- Without partners in Asia or Europe the United States might try to economically invest in helping Latin America here more so than in Otl at least in the short term.
- Within America there will be a brown scare somewhat comparable to the red scare of the 1950s. A brown scare did happened in real life during the 1940s but here it will continue. Ironically most the people put on the blacklist and those that protest the red scare in real life will support this brown scare. The brown scare wont receive the same kind of push back the Red scare did, it's blacklist might cut deeper and go after regular normal everyday Americans and will last longer. Senator McCarthy probably wont be seen as the leader of it as well.
-Charles Lindbergh would have his reputation prematurely destroyed with no chance from the US government of rehabilitating that. As the cold war progresses and America get entangled into foreign conflicts, there might be some dissident right wing anti war groups inspired by Lindbergh that could even evolve into a sorta right wing hippie movement.
- Levittown and Levittown inspired suburbs may not exist as they were created as a financial deal for returning veterans when America won the war. Though the housing problems America faced during that time will still occur so perhaps the suburbs that we are used to will eventually still be created.
-The American Left would no doubt still exist
- The civil rights movement might get pushed back a little. Americans in the aftermath of loss from the second world war might not want to care about the plight of black people. Though I do think the civil rights movement will still happen.
You might even get Japanese spies trying to influence the liberal and american left wing. They would be inspired by predecessor Japanese spy Satokata Takashi and the Black Dragon society. We could even see a Japanese spy like a real life Yuri Bezmenov defecting to explain ideological subversion and active measures to American
- I could see Aldlai Stevenson II or Thomas Dewey possibly becoming president during the 1950s
-Who will become president in later decades will be unpredictable but I'm sue we will see some familiar faces.
-American music at first wont change with 50s Rock and Roll still existing but once we get into the 1960s things become unpredictable as the cross cultural impact and infusion of British groups that exists in our world wont here.
So who knows where the music of the anglosphere will go from here.
- I believe that the American people especially back in that time was very strong and resilient and no matter how bad the situation may be will always hold on to freedom. They will overcome past failures and push to victory here.
If and when in the advent of the former axis begins to crumble you will no doubt see american diplomats and possibly boots on the ground to possibly secure and liberate Europe and Asia.
-Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, and Rhodesia will go through an identity crisis without father Britain but will politically form a sense of cross Anglo brotherhood with each other.

The Second Sphere (The Greater German Reich, The reichskommissariats, Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Belgium, Britain, Ireland, France, Burgundy, Hungary, Slovakia, Romania, and Bulgaria).
-For Germany this cold war is about spreading and protecting the rebirthed Aryan people against subversive foreign forces.
- Germany will be America's main rival on the world stage and would have to learn quickly not to make any missteps or else the Americans will taken advantage of it.
-It's capital Germania will probably not be located in Berlin as any big building in Neu Berlin would sink into the loose muddy sediment. Germany's New world capital would have to be located in somewhere else.
-Germany and America will wage an economic war of mercantilism. However not a single product from either country will arrive on each other's shores, instead this economic war will be about spreading each other's economic influence on the rest of the world.
-Germany will send a satellite into space in the late 1940s at the request of Werner Von Braun thus beginning the Space Race 10 years earlier. Soon all 4 of the main spheres will have an attempt at entering the Space Race.
-Germany will try to assimilate the Netherlands and Denmark (As Hitler considered these people to once be German) to the point of possibly of coming into conflict with locals including local Fascists.
- Depending on how well relations are Between Italy and Germany go right after the war either France is immediately reunified after the war and the German armies withdrawn from Northern France with the Vichy Government allowed to return to Paris. Or France is split in two or possibly four with the North part of the country in the German Sphere and the Southern part in the Italian Sphere. Along with a possible independent Brittany and SS control Burgundy. The independent Brittany would become part of a growing Celtic cultural revival movement along with the reintroduce Irish language in Ireland as part of an attempt to create a Celtic renaissance by far right Celtic nationalists.
-To the East The Germans are ramping up Generalplan Ost at least to some version of some kind. The Germans can't hide what they are doing to East Europe from the rest of the world forever.
- Almost all of the Jews in Europe are gone and the Slavs are facing the worst event in their entire history.
-The SS themselves will continue to grow and will gain a reputation within German politics similar to like what the Janissaries were in the Ottoman Empire, or the Praetorians in Rome or the Eight Banner Armies were in historical China.
The point is that they will always have a corner in the German Government that the rest of German Government might not want to mess with. There might be a private fiefdom for them in Burgundy or in the Baltics if the situation becomes too sketchy.
- Adolf Hitler retires as Fuhrer not long after the end of the Second World War. Herman Goring becomes his successor however both of them will probably not live too far into this Cold Was and will both die sometime in the Early 1950s.
-Either Heinrich Himmler or Joseph Goebbels will become Fuhrer. If the situation becomes too dicey then the Wehrmacht might intervene and they will impose one of their generals as Fuhrer.
All options will have a drastic outcome on Germany's domestic and foreign policy. Himmler will destroy any good relations with the Japanese and Goebbels will make enemies with the Italians.
-One of the bigger political conflicts within Germany will be over the influence of the Wehrmacht and the SS with only one of them can possibly win over the other with the other being dissolved at the end.
-Overtime different faces of leadership will come and go. You might see the children of Goebbels, Himmler, or Goring becoming Fuhrer and creating political family dynasties. There might be demand that a soldier that fought for Germany in WW2 should be Fuhrer or someone from the Hitler Youth generation. However as the decades pass Germany will become increasingly unrecognizable.

The world wouldn't be better, it'd just be different. Nazi Germany and the US/Soviet Union would be locked an alternate Cold War, and Germany would certainly evolve politically in a way that, like the Soviet Union, a heavy emphasis would be placed on combating American foreign policy and attempting to beat it at its own game with regards to foreign intervention. They might have even had a role in decolonization if they could help establish regimes that would provide them desperately needed resources.

Why are retarded autists obssessed witt Nazi German like 10 year old boy are obssessed with dinosaurs? Jesus Christ, it's so boring. Stop beeating a dead hourse

Continuing on from my last post
-Hungary would continue to be lead by Admiral Horthy and his family. But would the kingless kingdom of Hungary eventually have a king?
-Throughout the beginning stages of this cold war there is growing fear of a coup in Hungary by the Arrow Cross. If put in power the Arrow Cross would transform Hungary into an isolationist totalitarian nightmare that will make Nazi Germany look like a walk in the park.
-What the Arrow Cross would be doing would be mirrored by the events happening in Croatia by the Ustase.
-The first war in Europe post WWII will be between Hungary and Romania over Transylvania.
- A war ight break out in the former Yugoslavia as well.
-Ion Antonescu was seen as a sadistical brute and as someone who sold Romania out to German interests to the point of being subservient to Hitler and Germany. Parts of even the Romanian far-right despised him. I wonder how much the Romanian people would tolerate him or any of his designated successors. Could they launch an uprising against him?
-Finland, Sweden, and Bulgaria would probably the three least authoritarian states in Europe.

Post defeat Britain:
-What happens to Britain depends on what they do and for how long they were in the war. As more bombs drop on Germany and as the war dragged on longer more and more of the German leadership wanted to punish Britain and her people.
-Adolf Hitler wanted David Lloyd George to be prime minister again. Would he agree to be a puppet of Germany? Probably not.
Oswald Mosley would probably would not want to be prime minister in this scenario out of pride of not wanting to be seen as being installed by a foreign country.
I could see John Frederick Charles Fuller becoming a Philip Petain figure in occupied Britain along side with recrowned King Edward VIII. Lord Haw-Haw would probably play a role in that government too,
-Future generations look back on Winston Churchill with bewilderment and confusion at why the man who failed Gallipoli in the first world war was chosen to be prime minister in the second without the context as to why.
Regardless he would be seen as the man that led to the downfall of the British empire and doomed Anglo civilization.

Post defeat Soviet Union:
-Much of the former soviet union is carved up into the reichskommissariats.
- General plan ost has either killed millions of slavs or put them into forced labor.
-I'm not sure what will happen to the white emigre that fought alongside the Germans in the form of legions.
- At least the Turkestan Legion will be on their own when trying to conquer central asia.
- Whatever's left of Russia will either crumble into warlordism or become some kind of a composite ideological regime on wanting to preserve what they have east of the Urals or plan some kind of revenge against Germany.

-The Third Sphere ( The Italian Empire, Spain, Portugal, possible middle eastern allies an maybe southern france)
-Italy has annexed Corsica, Nice, and possibly Tunisia as well from France and Egypt, Sudan and much of east Africa as well as southern Yemen. It's unknown had the Italian army reach the holy land what they wanted to do with that.
-If the Turks ever get involve with the war, how long would favorable diplomacy between Italy and Turkey will go post war?
-The real question is how long will good relations between Germany and Italy last after the war? Will Benito and Adolf (and his successors) keep up this friendly image or will they go back to being enemies again?
- I could see a Goebbels lead Germany eventually invading Italy post war.
-If relations collapsed early then france could be split in two and south France could become an Italian ally.
- Benito Mussolini would outlast Hitler by a few years and die sometime in the late 1950s- early 1960s.
-The Mussolini family will probably continue being in power in the foreseeable future. They will become like the Kim family in North Korea or the Assad family in Syria in our timeline. An unofficial second monarchy in Italy.
-Speaking of the actual house of Savoy will continue to reign in Italy.
- Mussolini also wanted to carve a rock with him face on a hill in Ethiopia like mount Rushmore.
- Elsewhere in Africa is an enigma. There were organizations in Germany that wanted to revive the German colonial empire in Africa while Hitler himself and much of the Nazi leadership was apathetic to going back to Africa.
There were talks of keeping the French and British empire intake to even handing power to local rule. Hitler at least wanted Cameroon at his side. If relations between Germany and Italy were to ever break down the Germans could even fund local insurgents in the Italian colonial empire.

The fourth sphere (The Japanese empire and the East Asian Co-prosperity sphere)
-The Japanese Empire has emerge victorious in Asia and in the pacific after multiple catastrophic demoralizing naval victories against the United States.
The Japanese slowly beated the Chinese government in attrition and has created a large political block call The East Asian Co-prosperity Sphere that has by large created the standard as to what these geopolitical alliance models' are about in this cold war.
-Japan at first has a clear naval arms race advantage after the war but America quickly catches back up in building ne ships, The Italians and Germans also begins building up their own navy post war as well to catch up with the other powers.
- Kokka Shinto continues to be practice as victory in the second world war has boosted the image of the Japanese Emperor as being a living breathing God Emperor.
-Japan experience a brief post-war economic growth following an economic stagnation. The Japanese economy doesn't grow like in our timeline. That was largely due to American businessmen who were rejected at how a helped regrow post-defeat Japan, they obviously would not be there in this world.
-National development as because Japan wasn't firebomb to submission much of their cities will continue to have their old look so we will probably not see a bright neon Tokyo so easily in this world.
-Japanese people will begin to make their way into all corners of Asia much to the detriment of the locals.
-As this population increase their presence throughout the East Asian Co-prosperity sphere a racial hierarchal structure begins to form similar to the old Spanish empire had in the new world.
-A number of mix race children begins to grow however they are despised by the Japanese and the Asian locals there.
-As the population increases
-While the American government is more focus on Germany, the american people would be more focus on Japan as America's greatest enemy here.
-We could see Japan intelligence preforming something very similar to what the soviets did in our timeline. The Japanese would develop an idea similar to ideological subversion and counter measures they had something already similar to that with the Black Dragon Society.
I'm trying to imagine a Yuri Bezmanov like Japanese spy trying to explain ideological subversion to americans.
-Anime would still exists. You might even see some anime getting funding coming from either the Navy or military here.
-Speaking of the military and navy will never resolve their rivalry between each other here.
-Japan will enter a diplomatic presence in Africa and might gain a long term reputation there similar to Russia from our timeline.
-Regardless of who comes in power in either Germany and Japan long term in the cold war and how they see each other. The Italians will always be the Japanese greatest friends.
-Japan holds onto the East Asian co-prosperity Sphere with a firm iron grip that makes the Soviets control over the Warsaw Pact in our timeline look like child's play.
However if a coup or a revolt does occur in one of the East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere member states it's a lot harder to just role in the tanks to do the job as the vastness and separated by sea ways of Asia would make a quick counter revolution force attack more challenging.
-Asia will continue to be subjugated to a propaganda fear campaign that any attempts of the west to break though and help the locals is western imperialism and they are somehow secretly trying to reestablish their colonial empires or something like that.
Even long past the point where a western takeover seems even remotely possible. The point is that as time goes on the Japanese propaganda will begin to seem increasingly ridiculous and the population can see right through it.
-Years after the war supposedly ends Japan is still dealing with constant insurgencies popping up in places like Burma, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, And the Philippines. These insurgents are fully armed and prepared to fight an enemy that fully understands the brutality of war to the fullest extent.
These insurgents who are a wide arrange of ideological beliefs are all funded and supported by the Americans with ironically even includes leftists in Vietnam.
Pictures and videos of these forever wars in Asia will show the extreme brutal nature of the Japanese military and the kind of people who would have nothing to loose by facing it head on.
-No matter what happens to the future of Japan's political block, Sakhalin, Taiwan, and much of the small Islands of the Pacific are now core parts of Japan just as much as the home islands are.
- Japan easily draws the most challenges of the former victorious axis and is the one who's long term doom seem like it could be most certain.

a world were nazis won would just be the soviet union plus some private monopolies. Hardly an utopia and would have eventually decayed and needed more wars to prop a bloated state.

Fascism won in Spain, the autarchy years were extremely fucking shitty and not very different from your average socialist country with rationing cards and black market for food and all. Centralized planned economies are not that great but it seems the world is heading for corporatism anyway. The west will have woketarded fascism instead.

Long term outcome
-Japan struggles with maintaining a co-prosperity sphere from both internally and externally. Eventually when Emperor Hirohito dies in 1989 he is succeeded by his son Akihito who would probably become a Mikhail Gorbachev like figure that will try to reform the sphere and Japan's image and memory. However most of the people that live around the sphere want out and through a series of events will see the complete collapse of the sphere.
- The Italian Empire would either be invaded and destroyed by the Germans in the 1950s, fallen apart by locals tired of colonial rule in the 1970s, or has played a long term game by slowly absorbing Germany's allies when the Germans made geopolitical mistakes and finally created a solid web of territories, allies, and vassals the resemble a true return of the Roman Empire. It's even possible that the Germans will eventually become dependent on the Italians.
-Germany would survive the decades in some form. The Germans would probably be the first ones to reach the moon and would have a scientific advantage for at least the first 30 years of this cold war. Though the Americans would not be too far behind in the science department. The NSDAP will likely hold power in the foreseeable future, but if faith in the NSDAP were to ever wane it is possible for Germany to become a sorta post-ideological state. There is no chance of the Germans and Americans of ever reconciling with each other as their histories and differences are too great.
-The United States government will go to extreme lengths to prevent a possible fascist takeover including to suspension of constitutional rights for some Americans and even more of a willingness to engage in secret military projects like MKultra.
The United States would also play a dirty geo political game if given a chance as a means to try and win this cold war. Will it succeed? It's hard to say but of all the powers the United States has the most robust government.
-If any of the great powers were to fall expect things like navies and military hardware to be sold and pass around to the other smaller nations. A long term Axis victory will never lead to a globalized world dominated by one power.
Conclusion:
Would the world be better? For some people yes but for others no. For many it will be dealing with a different kind of shit than what we are dealing with.

I expect the Germans would've instantly entered a Cold War with Japan. Lots of similar proxy wars in Southeast Asia, Afghanistan, the Middle East and Africa, with the US clashing with them both around South America.

While it’s not the same situation, Francoist Spain could be a good approximation of that.
In that case, Europe ends up a total basketcase (which is what I would predict under Nazi rule anyways). Falangism was a mess, a racket that burned part of the wealth and gave the rest of it to the economic elite. By the end of WW2 the country still hadn't recovered from the Spanish Civil War. It didn't start recovering until it implemented liberalization and got tourism bucks because Franco had totally destroyed the wealth of the nation.

The German raubwirtschaft could have lasted longer, but it would have left nothing behind.

The biggest difference between a market economy and a command-and-control economy is that the former has distributed, iterative, bottom-up innovations happening all the time, and the latter only has whatever a planner told people to work on. This is why the Soviet manufacturing economy largely remained mired in late 1940s production techniques. Going from pounding out stamped steel to mass-producing precision-machined devices out of high-purity alloys requires a million little innovations from everything in your tooling (and how you manufacture your tools!) to your supply chain management.

If the Third Reich had pulled it out...say if somebody had shot Hitler in the back of the head before Stalingrad, and the Japanese decided not to attack Pearl Harbor, we most likely would have seen a Western Europe technologically and economically mired in 1955. They would have been formidable for a while, but the failures of the system would have manifested themselves no later than the 1970s.
But my 1937 HOI4 World Conquest says Nazism is based and you just have to click build industry over and over again reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

If Germany "wins" the war, you have a Germany that has become a "superpower" in the world. A country that has access to all the economic and material resources necessary to be self-sufficient. The United States will inevitably end up being the other superpower and everything will probably end up in some form of cold war in the world.
As with other political systems of that century, Nazism would be unlikely to survive beyond the generation of the people who founded it.
That means at worst it falls apart in the 1970s and transforms itself into something different. Its own contradictions would eventually destroy the system. The system echos the historic flaws of Sparta in Greece. An aristocratic elite society always becomes economically dependent on other peoples who do the work. Aristocratic societies also inevitably become degenerate.
There is also the matter of the succession to Hitler. Churchill was in bad health and managed to live to 91. Franco lived to 83. Stalin lived to 75. If Hitler lives to 75, he is still ruling in the mid-1960s. Any successor to him is going to be far weaker and unlikely to be able to control the system very well. Which just accelerates the inevitable decay.
