Tips Goals - Peepul have been asking for them dood

Yes I dont know why Phil tought that having a tip goal that leads to no reward would be enticing for his viewers, its just a random number that gets you nothing if you reach it,he cloud at least have a reward for it like streaming for an extra hour or doing something interactive with his audience.
no goal because he expects people to give him money solely to pay his bills. that was the unsaid goal
phil said a couple times that people shouldnt be giving money because of a goal

Someone in chat (android___x) just asked him about the Tips Total, and he pretended to be unable to keep track of tips while playing games like Blackout. Which... makes no sense at all when playing a game like Metro Exodus. So he's lying about the real reason.

-edit- I listened back to it, and he mentioned that "Tips Total doesn't add anything" and directly after that statement he said "when I had the Tips Goal it WAS motivating people to tip".
So there you go, he just gave us the actual reason: it's not because he's unable to add it up while playing games, that's just a shitty excuse. It simply wasn't making him enough money.

================================

And while I'm at it, here's the total tips per day after Feb. 15th, the "last" day of the $200 daily tips goal. Spoiler: the numbers have been pretty rough in the tips department.

1st stream.............2nd stream
---------------------------------
Feb16-1: $55.........Feb16-2: $25 ($80)
Feb17-1: $53.........Feb17-2: $53 ($106)
Feb18-1: $14.........Feb18-2: $26 ($40)
Feb19-1: $54.........Feb19-2: $21* ($75)
Feb20-1: N/S........Feb20-2: N/S (no streams)
Feb21-1: $26.........Feb21-2: $34 ($60)
Feb22-1: $18.........Feb22-2: $59* ($77)
===============================
1st total: $220......2nd total: $218

Total: $438 (7 days, 6 labor days/12 streams)

* During these two streams he stopped counting at some point, so they're possibly not enirely accurate, but they should be close nevertheless.

Well, having a tips goal does have a psychological effect on people who are susceptible for it (e.g. kids with autism that enjoy watching a middle-aged man with a patchy goatee being bad at video games), so it does make sense to do such a thing. But by using it often/always it stops being a novelty, so the effect wears off over time.

Als note how he says "at least for now" at the 51-second mark of the clip I posted. He most definitely is planning on using it again. He's just going to let it "recharge" it's usefulness/effect, so to speak.

Maybe he is worried about a troll name, the gouty one has been extra careful about breaking ToS.

I would be absolutely stunned if the automated ones don't have some kind of "approval" option where either Phil or his mods would have to clear the name before it posted.

159% chance that tips goal reappears on March 1.

funny how he has yet to shave his beard or hair for money. he could make so much by just shaving it but nooooo, too proud of his <ugly fat bastard in hentai> look

He absolutely won't do that because it hides how saggy and gross his double-chin is, just like he won't buzz his head because you could see the two large bald spots amongst the sprouts of hair.
These are both things he is pretending don't exist.

Streamlabs has that but DSP won't use Streamlabs because it """crashes OBS"""
Streamlabs OBS is completely standalone. There's no possible excuse aside from being lazy. It's incredibly easy to use and all he has to do is spend 10 minutes watching YouTube tutorials.

Manually approve what shows up on screen

Also can show recent donations

Sub goal

And overall an insane amount of shit to help him improve his stream

But Phil is stuck in 2012. Well, there you go.

Well, now in about a month or so, he'll announce a major overhaul and all of this will show up, and I quote, "BECUZ YOU GUIZ ASKED FOR IT, AND I LISTEN TO MUH VIEWERS".

I think he should have lowered the goal to 50 dollars after the first couple of days being 200 dollars clearly not working out. His fans would be more inclined to donate to reach what essentially amounts to a new game every day as opposed to a mid-tier graphics card every day, and it would be less of a burnout to Phil when it's not "oh I didn't hit the goal today AGAIN."

50 dollars, oof. least with 200 its nearing a fulltime job. but i guess thats something unrealistic for phil. plus his youtube and shirt income

get a job phil

Phil found the ultimate way to resolve the "Unable to Calculate Total Tip" problem

The laziest solution, of course, we wouldnt expect anything else

Basically it will require him to SIT THERE AND DO NOTHING and Muxy will do the work for him because he can not do simple math and has no attention to KEEP TRACK OF WHO THREW MONEY AT HIM

This guy is a FUCKING LAZY PIECE OF SHIT and that's EXXACTLY where he wants to be

I don't understand his obsession with having the amount on screen. I know some streamers do, Asmongold always has his dono total on screen because he always has some little joke goal. Like $25 for dinner or something. Why does Dark do it though? Is it his version of being transparent about how much he's making? Does anyone care?

Just deal with it Dave, nobody gives a fuck. Just have top dono, top bit dono and latest sub on screen. Ain't there programs/add-ons that do this automatically? All he has to do is install and run. Motherfucker makes everything an ordeal, just to make it seem like he's doing something.

Because for a while it worked. People would give to at least round off the number to the next highest 10s digit and stuff like that. Specifically, when he was really going into the whole "I won't have money for bills" during the first couple of weeks in January. Problem is, he tried to go too far with it. (Greed is massively strong.) So then he went with Tips Total for the rest of January and brought back the tips goal for February because of MUH BILLS. Eventually, even his actual fans seemed to kinda go "At what point does this stop?" Add in his adamant refusal to have an actual goal aside from "Well, you plebs will get to see my face as I beg again tomorrow" and he stopped getting anywhere near the goal.

Edit: Stream has been officially up for an hour now, and he's still in prestream. Imagine making people who have volunteered their time to help you make money wait so you can bitch and moan about a bunch of shit for more than an hour.

He's back to having a Total Tips counter and mentioned in pre-stream that he'll reset it every stream from now on, instead of having a daily total. He claims Muxy messes up the numbers or something when he does the daily total. Bugged Muxy mechanics, dood.
