Tips Goals - Peepul have been asking for them dood

Our boy Dark was also talking about needing tips to pay off a, “loan.” Whoever gave this man a loan is off their fucking rocker.

Does anyone have any clue what type of loan we’re talking about here?

Phil said during the Beg-a-Thon Pt. 3 that he had taken out Unsecure Loan(s) (I forget if that was a plural). He confirmed it more recently by calling them "Personal Loans".

I can't recall him talking about his loans as much as he has been.

(what happened to the power level emote?)

I believe Null's trying to get people to stop power-leveling/relying on a small handful of words here, so he's axed the :powerlevel: and :autistic: smilies :p

And the :off-topic: one. If you remember the announcement that 'if you declare in your post that it is off-topic or powerlevelling it will be deleted', he also later in that thread posted his frustration with people spoilering short posts that he has to 'click on like it's a fucking CAPTCHA to see' so he killed all our Spoiler :autism: jokes. I'm pretty sure he wasn't trying to subtly steer people away from casually calling things autistic.

Right, right. Thanks, I thought I was forgetting something :like:

I would just like to say that I find it hysterical that Phil, with the now apparently permanent addition of "Total tips" to his whoreboard, has 4 separate items that he has chosen to force himself to manually update. Further, he continues to have an ugly-ass text board either across the top or bottom of his stream.

100% professional.

I'd like to add to this very relevant point that they are all also things he specifically stated he would never have during his time on Twitch, because he's not at all like other girls streamers.

I think its going to be a monthly thing now. At the very least, every "slow" month he can point to.

So he has a "Tips Total" now, in an attempt to encourage tipping. Seems like a questionable decision in the sense that it also publicly shows how much Phil is bringing in. However, I think this is just so that it can easily transition to a "Tips Goal" as necessary with less fanfare because there's always something about tips there anyway. It'd fit perfectly for a monthly thing. It's also how Phil rolls, frequently approaching hypocrisy slowly so it is less noticeable.

His leaderboard used to only be for chill, non-narrative streams. Now we have it up every day, including for narrative-based first playthroughs. He previously said that this would never happen and quietly started leaving it up there more frequently until it now stands out if you question it. I feel like with some of these things, he knows that he railed against people who did it as being sellouts so hard, he now has to temper his greed so that he can creep up to doing them, knowing even his hardcore fans would get on him about it.

Since he manually updates it he could just as easily forget certain tips or change it mid stream like he has done before so it always appears lower to try fool the morons into giving him more.

For sure it will be. To be frank, it's worked for him. The slope of this month, compared to October and November, is much more positive. Meaning, the tips goal stuff gave a sustained increase in money given, even with the days where he didn't hit $200. Here's October's tips by day:

$118.00
$19.00
$70.00
$81.22
$42.00
$29.00
$31.00
$0.00
$11.01
$70.00
$108.00
$3.00
$28.01
$76.00
$0.00
$49.00
$61.00
$128.00
$183.00
$84.00
$0.00
$2.00
$35.00
$21.01
$12.00
$75.00
$37.00
$197.00
$0.00
$79.00
$81.66

Here's January so far:
$152.00
$154.00
$0.00
$58.03
$120.00
$29.00
$297.00
$71.00
$255.00
$144.00
$42.00
$160.00
$124.00
$96.00
$135.00

Basically, he's gotten more tips already in January (~$1900, including today) than he got in the entirety of October.

@actually

Did you just get gifted a sub?

who's this dumbass emerald six who keeps giving Phil money

Nope. But whoever emerald_six is thinks they're being super clever.

Darks way of doing things reminds me of the book animal farm, which ironically is also a story about a pig who attempts to take the form of man.

I'm sure in 2023 he'll automate the process, like other streamers have been doing for years.

But what about the troll names!
They doesn't really *snort* matter, okay? Everyone has the right to have a name he feels good with. If someone wants to look like a stupid asshole, fine go on, you know what I mean. *deep loud snort* However I'm really ahnest with you, okay, and that's the truth: I HATE these guys who try to appeal to an adult audience with their NOT colored hairs. That's not how Twitch works you stupid fucks! This is not the point of live streaming *snort* I dyed my beard blue cuz this helps to interact with you!
Okay then, back to topic. 4 years ago Tut'n'kamin FUCKED ME UP big times!

In catching up on the tips tonight, I noticed that when Phil introduced the "Total tips" thing on his whoreboard, he explicitly said, in detail, that he was doing it to get more money. That's not a big surprise to anybody here, but it's amazing that he outright said it.

Is it just me, or has he been letting alotta personal stuff slip recently. "Unsecured Loans", and then even clarifying them later as "Personal Loans", mentioning the payment of his loan(s) (which is a new one for me, at least), mentioning a specific symptom of his hinted at medical condition, outright stating the addition to the Whoreboard is for money (and depending on your definiton of "personal stuff", you could also include here his mention of Kat sleeping in the living room while she's been sick).

I think losing Leanna actually did have a lasting impact on him. I think before he could at least reliably talk in her general direction and not have to worry about restraining himself/keeping up with his lies like he does on stream. Ever since she left, there have been a few moments where it felt like Phil was slipping up/actually being honest. Phil rocks the hermit lifestyle, and while he seems to like some aspects of it like living in a gated community, I think the lack of social interaction is one of the things he doesn't like. It isn't so much that he really wants friends or genuine social interaction, but he wants people to sing his praises and talk about how insightful he is after taking 30 minutes to explain some basic task. Kat just seems like she zones out more than anything else, and Phil looks down on his paypigs too much to be satisfied by anything they say. Anyway, I think that lack of social interaction is causing him to stumble and leak more personal stuff because he wants to get it out to someone, he just can't actually talk to his audience about it until he does enough mental gymnastics to line up everything he says now with his previous lies.

I just wanna point out, that on the first stream, dark souls stream, he said that the total tips is to keep track of the donations FOR THE DAY. But he resets it every stream so even thats a lie.

What are you talking about? Phil is the hardest working man on the internet. He works so hard, he does two days of work in a 24 hour period. I guess you work an easy 9-5 office job and wouldn’t understand hard work if it bit you on the dick.
