Today I have... Thread.

Aluminium, and I'm learning Sandcasting. It's another means of production that I intend to offer through my company once I've gotten the hang of it. I do small-scale prototyping and design work, and have only just started striking out on my own, so wanted to try and at least get a feel for some new techniques that should aid me with some upcoming jobs.
That actually does sound really interesting. Post some pictures of your successes and failures for us to awe over and laugh at :)

I have a phone interview lined up for my second choice post-graduation job. And apparently they really, really like new grads from Michigan, so I won't even need to suck as much dick as I was expecting.

Awoken after playing a 12 hour game of poker (7 man). The last 4 people I believe went on for about 6 hours alone. Eventually came second after some beautiful calls, but lost first place due to horrible luck and pangs of sleep deprivation

I finally got to see the live-action Beauty & The Beast. I thoroughly enjoyed it and thought it was very well-made. I didn't get what the big deal about LeFou being gay was all about, most of the "gay" moments were more subtle than the press made it out to be.

Worked a pretty busy shift and didn't celebrate my birthday as I would have liked to because all my friends were being grown-ups as well. *sigh*

(I get to do stuff on Wednesday to make up for it tho)

Spent a frustrating amount of time wiring up my CNC router, only to discover that the awful Chinese documentation tells you how to disengage the Y-axis so you can use the C-axis, but not how to go back to using the Y-axis afterwards.

When this minor mystery is solved, I can get on with making a mould for my first sandcast component.

Today, I folded four large origami cranes from what felt like cardstock. My hands hurt; I hope the wife loves it, once it's all strung up with the smaller cranes in the mobile/wind chime.

I helped my uncle saw some wood for a new chair leg.

Also, I cooked breakfast for myself. I baked some biscuits from scratch and then cooked some turkey bacon and some sausage patties. Overall, it was good. Apparently, homemade biscuits is the one thing I can actually make competently. I've been baking biscuits since I was 17, so I sort have got it down.

I mostly watched the new "Ghostbusters", I only laughed when Thor did dumb stuff for the most part. I started pissing blood early on but the ghost of Harold Ramis gave me some magical, healing gefilte fish and I pulled through.

Pencilled five comic pages, and also noisily strimmed the garden for 2 hours while my neighbours were trying to relax in their yard.

A job well done, I'd say!

Decided it's maybe time to part ways with an old friend; I should sell off my old school Nintendo merchandise to line my savings.

(I have the original Final Fantasy and Super Mario RPG as well as the Donkey Kong Countries, good times.)
