Honestly, I’d say that moment came when folks tried to look for clues and Easter eggs to decode Taylor using the music to say that she’s gay.
I don’t know if Todd is trying to not anger the fanbase, or if he’s trying to analyze trends, but I have to feel like this is another one of those times where I’m reminded that lots of folks look to Todd when it comes to opinions on music, and wonder how we got to that point.
It might be Column A there. For me, when this is your only schtick and personality in YouTube, you at least gotta remember the pertinent details you were there to experience and perceive. I understand this is just a throwaway tweet but this same forgetfulness has been part of his videos for a while now
I managed to get nine seconds and two "white guys bad" comments into the Todd's latest critical abortion before turning it off. I don't know if it's Todd (half-white) or Kevin (all white) adding them to the script, but it is cringe as hell and not even worth a hatewatch anymore.
That's a common problem I've noticed with most former Channel Awesome/ThatGuyWithTheGlasses contributors.

While he does make some self-deprecating jokes, he still presents himself as an authority on pop music. Despite constantly getting his predictions wrong, he makes them and does so in a way where he's acting like he has all of this knowledge about trends and the industry that he can make these calls, and for the most part is wrong. And after over 15 years of this, he still hasn't learned his compass doesn't point the right way.
This still annoys me, but yet again, Todd hasn't been sticking to rules the past few years at all anyway.
