Tommy Tooter Facebook Megathread Extravaganza! - Oh, Tom!

Big X for doubt.

Just the state of Tom’s house on the outside is like a neon sign for crackheads. “KEEP LOOKING, NOTHING OF VALUE HERE!”

And his camera is missing? What camera was it? This isn’t like 2010 when any digital camera could bring in some bucks. With cameras in every cellphone, nobody will pay 20$ for a 150$ camera. Even the pawnshop will most likely just laugh at a junkie who comes in and tries to pawn a cheap ass camera.

The fact that it would seem ONLY his camera 'went missing' is a bit of a red flag. One more thing we can add to the long list of Tommy's lies.

Come on Tom you're just begging for a dog fiddler reference.
Is Tom a sadomasochist? He seems to be a low grade narcissistic nonce, although comorbity is common in cluster personal disorders.
:story:

Tom is an excellent example of schizotypy -- that is, a clear-cut way to show someone what it is and how it presents differently and not to be confused with schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorder. If you go to http://gen.lib.rus.ec/ and search for Nancy McWilliams you will find a copy of the Psychodynamic Diagnostic Manual and some other stuff by her that is really fascinating -- even if you don't buy into talk therapy at all. In fact, is anyone interested in reading these with me and exchanging notes or having a discussion? For those who are less adventurous, I refer you to Wikipedia:

Eh, Tom is a skizo. You don't have to have hallucinations to have skizophrenia. I do think he has other cluster A comordid personality disorders.

I honestly don't know how you would think schizophrenia describes him better than schizotypy. The Wikipedia page on the latter describes him to a T - conversely, he doesn't really meet the criteria for schizophrenia IMO - and I particularly like the part on schizotypy's relationship with personality traits, which I will just cut and paste here:

Many research studies have examined the relationship between schizotypy and various standard models of personality, such as the Five factor model.[17] Research has linked the unusual experiences factor to high neuroticism and openness to experience. The introvertive anhedonia factor has been linked to high neuroticism and low extraversion. The cognitive disorganisation factor has been linked to low conscientiousness. It has been argued that these findings provide evidence for a fully dimensional model of schizotypy and that there is a continuum between normal personality and schizotypy.[17]

Relationships between schizotypy and the Temperament and Character Inventory have also been examined.[18] Self-transcendence, a trait associated with openness to "spiritual" ideas and experiences, has moderate positive associations with schizotypy, particularly with unusual experiences. Cloninger described the specific combination of high self-transcendence, low cooperativeness, and low self-directedness as a "schizotypal personality style"[18] and research has found that this specific combination of traits is associated with a "high risk" of schizotypy.[19] Low cooperativeness and self-directedness combined with high self-transcendence may result in openness to odd or unusual ideas and behaviours associated with distorted perceptions of reality.[18] On the other hand, high levels of cooperativeness and self-directedness may protect against the schizotypal tendencies associated with high self-transcendence.[20]

Another opportunity for inheritance?

Oh snap!

Wonder how many times he pestered his brother in law about his inheritance while she was in the hospital?
How can someone who raped their own sister, now communicate with that same sister's husband. I guess Tom wishes it were his husband too.

I have a feeling Tom would enjoy both.
Oh no, he’s turned his perverted urges towards birds now. This compilation is going to be his excuse when he molests a parrot. “Parrots can give consent, you millennial mental midgets! You can see them doing it here, maggots! Stay stupid, speds! Bye Felicia!”

This reminds me of a roommate I had once. She had several pet birds that she was too irresponsible to take care of, so I often had to. I would feed and water them, change the paper, etc. I would sometimes walk around with them on my shoulder and they would nibble on my ear. They never wanted to leave my shoulder, either. She would say "Oh, that means they LIKE you." in the creepiest way possible. In reality it was just grooming behavior. Not to mention I was basically their caretaker and every bird in that cage hated each other and wanted space. When I suggested separating them or finding different companion birds she insisted that they were "best friends."

For some reason Tommy reminded of an irresponsible pet owner who projects fantasies onto neglected pets. Weird.
