Which is ironically hilarious and un-self aware given his Twitter rant about people smugly thinking they're "the smartest motherfucker in the room". That's Tony obliviously describing himself. He's high off the fumes of his own bullshit.

And I love his sanctimonious self-centeredness when he pops a blood vessel over his "takes" getting ruined by people photo bombing him or distracting him by walking behind the camera. You know that it's pissing him off that these tourists have the AUDACITY to disturb him while he's "working". Like he's the most important person in the park or something. No, fuck you, Tony. You're disturbing people who have saved a long time and spent thousands of dollars to bring their families on a nice vacation, possibly the first vacation they've had in years and the first break they've had from working at their REAL JOBS in who-knows-how-long, and they don't want their little kids to have to hear some fat, greasy, balding, foul-mouthed Jew mongoloid who wishes he was Weird Al give loud, expletive-filled rants about how It's a Small World is worse than rape for a half-assed video "review" for other loser mongoloids on the internet to watch.

People just want to have a good time at the theme park they're at. It's what a fucking theme park is built for. So what if they're in the shot? Not everyone gives a shit about what a greasy creeper internet reviewer who rambles non-stop about Trump and/or Disneyworld has to say. If they want to look up reviews, they aren't going to spend the time to watch some nobody's videos, they're going to look up professional reviews for a basis and then make a final judgement for themselves.

It's sad when you really look at it. This is pretty much all Tony has. Without it, he's just another idiot on the internet with a busted soapbox and a band of mongoloids who hang at his every word as he bashes Trump for no reason other than "Trump sux!"

Every now and then I revisit this thread and want to say something, but can't quite put into words what irks me about Somejerk's attitude and behavior. You've said it all.

Tony needs a new schtick that isn't mimicking Weird Al down to the hair. Or commentating on rides he can no longer enjoy. Or raging about Trump. The videos that he does make (like what has his total output even been?) are all over the place in tone and content and a lot of his jokes fall flat from trying too hard. This would be kind of excusable if I believed he had a job or something otherwise occupying his time, but I feel like he just sits around getting angry at politics all day. At least that's how his current lunacy comes off as to me. Honestly, who watches his content? If I'm interested in going to an amusement park, I'm not going to stick around to watch some sperg-y guy's vlog video on it. I clicked on one of his amusement park videos on CA once, and I got about 5 minutes in before saying "Who the fuck would watch this?"

Disney/Universal have some pretty interesting history. What's not interesting is watching a grown ass man wail about Michael Eisner as if that joke isn't old.

There are a few people on YouTube I watch who do similar vlogs and videos without the tired, old "angry critic" shtick that I really enjoy. The difference is a lot of the time they actually will go into the history, designing, planning, and inspiration for the rides, talk about the attraction that used to be there that the ride replaced, things like that. It can really be enjoyable and even fascinating when you are watching someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about the parks, the rides, and the history without angry screaming and cussing. For someone like me who doesn't live near places like Disneyland or Disney World and can't afford to visit them often, it can be a nice little escape from daily life and an enjoyable way to unwind from a day at work.

I've watched a few of Tony's videos and early on in his "career", when he was talking more about that kind of stuff and less about how It's a Small World is like being raped, his videos were tolerable. Not great, but OK for putting in the background as white noise. When he got picked up by Channel Awesome and started emulating Bid Daddy Doug, the quality and enjoyability of his content went right down the shitter and he became just another unfunny, grating angry critic clone.

tl;dr: Goldmark is an irritating fat Yid and there are people who do what he does better.

People who join the site implicitly enjoy Doug's videos, and seek to imitate him because he's the most popular reviewer on the site. Doug's an egoist but I don't think he explicitly says "act like me or you're not welcome here". I think he just attracts people who think his shtick is funny.

That, and I think the ones who generally wouldn't imitate that style of review wind up doing it when they join Doug's crew because "everyone else is doing it" and they want to both fit in and be successful on the site.
