I believe this guy is a former friend of Verlisify, with a new rap about him. "I got yo bitch on a leash, imma just call her Verlisify" is a lyric for how seriously he's being taken.

For context, shofu is a long time pokemon YouTuber notable for his music and relationships w/ fellow pokemon youtubers Haydunn, DuncanKneeDeep, and PokeaimMD. He participates fairly regularly in tournaments hosted on the website Smogon (a site verlisify has a deep-seated hatred of) and I believe he's participated in official pokemon tournaments before.

In terms of them being "friends" I'm not so sure. I don't really recall them ever interacting, at least not on YouTube, and iirc verlis has been a joke in the pokemon community circa 2010.

AFAIK, shofu straight up hates Verlis and the feeling is mutual, though I believe the whole disagreement started with Smogon and Tony's fairly ignorant statements about the meta, i.e. "Slurpuff is a counter to Mega Kanghaskan"

If they weren't friends in the distant past then they at least had mutual friends at one point. But his anti-Smogon campaign basically turned everyone against him because he's an idiot.

Imagine having this much of a victim complex.

The way Versilify hates "genning" pokemon borders on autistic a-log levels. Man literally goes out of his way to contact authorities and makes 30 minute videos about it.

Like people have tens of hours to breed the right Pikachu with exactly the right numbers to beat a Chubchoo or a Snipsnarf. Only reason he whines about it is because he loses to the pros back in the day and johns about how everyone else is cheating

Here's a video of a prominent player on Youtube, Pimpnite. He does interesting videos of fighting hackers, using nothing but a baby Pokemon to sweep an entire team (a Pokemon that hasn't evolved and can evolve) or sometimes something really pissweak like Farfetch'd, who Verlis made a vid about hacking. And now he has at least 40 minutes of proof with text logs, receipts, etc.
Also, there's his buttbuddy/possible paid shill ProtoMario who seems to really nuthug the dude.

This video explains how easy hacking is and how it is done in the community, but just like Verlis, his thumbnails usually do not coincide with his title (Callum/HoodlumScrafty and Duncan are mentioned maybe three times and it's near the end of the video and at the beginning after probably one of the worst skits ever, it puts Nostalgia Critic to shame, hell even Irate Gamer.) On top of that, throughout his video, Adobe After Effects transitions of images of in game screenshots happen, but there's a problem. While he's saying "Hacks can hurt the game and hurt the players and you can do it easily, it'll be obvious," he is showing pics of either Glitches, Cart Tilts, or Corruptions.

This is a glitch Pokemon that is encountered with a Burn and breaks the game. You can't catch it nor can you even use it in battle let alone hack it in. But here's the best part.

For those not in the know, Darkrai is a legendary Pokemon that is obtainable from an event. It is possible to use a Master Ball and get a Shiny Darkrai in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, as well as Platinum. However, the funny part is that he decides "This thing is hacked because of Wonder Guard" Incoming Competitive Pokemon Autism.

Those stats are impossible. There's something called IVs, Internal Values, and EVs, Effort Values. Effort Values are given after fighting Pokemon, and as an example, Machop will give 1 Attack EV. 4 Attack EVs boost your Attack stat by 1 point. Only 255 (before gen 6 at least) can be attributed to a stat and you only get a maximum of 510 (508 before Gen 6) and you can only put 255 EVs into one stat (252 in gen 6). IVs also boost it up to 31 points from 0, and natures also affect this with some reducing a stat and increasing a stat, or doing nothing.
So what's the problem here?

That's the problem. Too many EVs! The best part is that this is also 31 IVs, which is INSANELY difficult to pull off on a legendary Pokemon of Darkrai's caliber, where you'd have to get your ass up and go to a place that would let you download an item to go to an area that can only be obtained through this method, and then soft resetting until the end of days for a shiny 31 IV Event Pokemon with Calm Nature. This is coming from the guy who is "friends" with a guy who complains about hackers and having perfect 31 IV Pokemon who didn't even realize that there was more than just Wonder Guard.

I've seen people bash this guy on GameFAQs but I didn't know he was this exceptional. He takes Pokemon way too seriously. Most players don't give a damn about all of this autism he's spewing.

Are there any good Pokemon youtubers?

Fur-Fag Verlis is the bottom barrel of Poketubers. Pokemon is a saturated market on YouTube, but there's a few of them I enjoy. Aaron Cybertron Zheng, Alex Ogloza and Wolfe Glick are competitive VGC players if you need insider tips on the current meta. I have a soft spot for Mr. Talent, Nipps, because he's a chill dude from New York. Shofu has a pretty fun diss track on Verlisify

The other ones are hit or miss I guess. Adrive, Patternz and Gameboy Luke are all talented enough players. Like I said, the market's saturated as fuck right now

Personally some I like are HoodlumScrafty and his friends, Game Boy Luke, Shady Penguin (though he also plays other stuff and is really entertaining) and the one I say is kind of on the skirt is Chuggaaconroy because he loves Pokemon and does playthroughs of it but has others on his channel. Serious opinion: Chugga/Emile/Whatever you wanna call him doesn't deserve to only just now get 1 million subs two years ago for the effort he puts in his videos.

I been hearing so much drama about this guy and vids. Apparently he false copyright claims people and their vids? He has a mention on the ED page for Smogon

Some vids.
