the core mod is fantastic, best lord of the ring strategy game possible. No, I have never heard of this.
Rome 2 Total War was wildly unstable on release, the day I bought it. It became over time and many updates, a really strong game, and to an extent better than Atilla, which I do love. Warhammer and Three Kingdoms are both excellent, but I don't find the setting so interesting. Thrones of Britannia is worthwhile, but it's largely dead in terms of updates. Troy looks like it could be worse, positively dead on arrival. The original Shogun was my start with the series, and I wonder if the series or game design is bit bloated, although I often enjoy the bloat, dunno.
thats good and all, but Milan has always been the MVP, the last few campaigns iv gone through milan has had a loose trigger finger, and somehow managed to take away good chunks of territory from the HRE and France.I recently rediscovered my love for the older Total War games. I started with Medieval II way back when, it was one of my staples along with Warcraft 3 and Morrowind. Recently started playing again and have to laugh at what a complete fucking idiot I was back then. Used to just throw armies at each other without any strategy etc. Now I play and just last night I completely eliminated the Mongols as a faction in less than 10 turns, I've eliminted England, Byzantines, Moors, Milanese, and I have the papal states surrounded with armies just waiting for that bitch of a pope to threaten me with excommunication again.
Vive la France with its final boss level cavalry.
Soon! Maybe. For WE lords I feel like it'll have to be the female twin versions of Tyrion and Teclis, right? Only ones who make sense to me.It's October, chance of Warhammer 2 DLC has increased.
Come on, hurry up and drop the trailer...I want WE to be functional.
Confirmed to be released in December. Probably those two, they seem to be the most popular.Soon! Maybe. For WE lords I feel like it'll have to be the female twin versions of Tyrion and Teclis, right? Only ones who make sense to me.
Sieges in TW Warhams are fucking broken due to the extended range of the towers, you either need to get your best units onto the walls right away, have some means of either quickly destroying the towers or otherwise dramatically limiting the damage they can do, or mod the tower ranges down to something more reasonable. There's some good news about this though, TW: WH3 will likely include re-worked sieges, so maybe, just maybe there will be an official tower nerf at some point.I love TW Warhammer but I am inconceivably bad at it. I almost always autoresolve taking walled cities, much to my disadvantage.
Sieges are fucking broken due to the towers only targeting the unit closest to them, so you can cheese them effortlessly by just sticking your general/any hero in front of the towers, optionally running them side to side to waste any ranged units ammo (except guns, they'll fuck you up) whilst your own archers (literally everything in your army that isn't artillery because fuck balance) wrecks the enemy.Sieges in TW Warhams are fucking broken due to the extend range of the towers, you either need to get your best units onto the walls right away, have some means of either quickly destroying the towers or otherwise dramatically limiting the damage they can do, or mod the tower ranges down to something more reasonable. While having your general/hero march in front of the towers to draw fire DOES sound like an effective means of neutralizing them, this is also something that reeks of cheese. I'd honestly rather download a mod to nerf the tower ranges before I did something like this.Sieges are fucking broken due to the towers only targeting the unit closest to them, so you can cheese them effortlessly by just sticking your general/any hero in front of the towers, optionally running them side to side to waste any ranged units ammo (except guns, they'll fuck you up) whilst your own archers (literally everything in your army that isn't artillery because fuck balance) wrecks the enemy.
I always cheese sieges. Park all my troops in a corner outside the tower range, snipe the towers using artillery, then fire from outside the wall in.Sieges in TW Warhams are fucking broken due to the extended range of the towers, you either need to get your best units onto the walls right away, have some means of either quickly destroying the towers or otherwise dramatically limiting the damage they can do, or mod the tower ranges down to something more reasonable. Either Spring 2021 or Holiday 2021 would be my guess, with the comedy option being Summer 2021 to take advantage of the drought of major new releases that typically happens around that time.I wonder when WH3 is coming out. The next DLC is confirmed December, so it's not going to be for a while.
