How does that even work? also what do you need the team for in stage two?
Okay let me ask you a question now..

You've probably traded solo by yourself sitting at your chair, just you and your trading terminal, right?

You are probably trading a modest account size somewhere between $200 and $20,000 maybe $200,000 who knows? But either way you're trading a modest amount of money most likely..

And now here's my question for you..

How large would your account have to become before you would not want to handle it as a single person but instead you would want a team that would monitor the trades 24 hours a day while the markets are open and you would have a team that would handle investor relations and payouts and you'd have a team that would deal with your banking and brokerage issues and you'd have a team that would deal with legal and accounting issues?

How large would your account have to become before you were no longer happy trading by yourself?

Why aren't you a quant if you're so good with algorithms?

Total locks on the table is 0.60, which gets me $6 per pip.

Estimated profit that will be achieved in this position $399 or 24%

Why aren't you a quant if you're so good with algorithms?
The truth is you don't even know that I'm any good yet, because the trades are still open and have not closed yet.

I have mentioned that I've spent 20 hardcore years on this project didn't I? How many quants do you know that have the dedication to work on their own on their own algorithm for 20 solid years with no paycheck?

Yeah that's what I'm saying.

To call oneself a quant it's just a fancy college boy way to say that you use quantitative analysis in your trading which is just a fancy way to say that you use technical analysis which is just a fancy way to say that you're a bot developer

Wait, sorry, I'm late to the party.
I have to inquire about your project, this is really fascinating stuff.
But before everything else I must know something, are trades open?
Thank you for your kind words and your professional reply.

Yes, trades are open and yes this is a live account though small it is.

Target profit is $340 (21%)

This algorithm is a hybrid martingale.

How did you bugtest your algorithm? Is this your first time using it on an account?
I began this project in May of 2004 and I began programming metatrader somewhere in 2005 when meta trader was originally released. I have been programming C since 1991, my first compiler was the Microsoft quick C for dos, so when I began using metatrader I already had 13 years of C programming experience and meta traders built in programming language is pretty much straight C with trading functions and because of that I like it very much.

I have had so many failures on this project that I can't remember them all. With each and every crack pot algorithms that I dreamed up out of my brain I tried it out with live funds I'm so I have poured approximately $35,000 down the toilet during this project.

That's probably more than you wanted to know.

I find it interesting that amateurs that use the basic indicators and back testing which I have zero faith in either of those processes, they are always free to roam the halls of all of the trading forums, but whenever I say that I'm working on an algorithm they forcefully demand that I share my work with them and when I don't they dog pile on top of me and then kick me out of the forum and then it's quite common for them to call me the c word and the b word and to have giggle parties after they throw me out. This is The Life of a quant.

@tradecode has this been your fulltime-job for the last 20 years or have you done other stuff, how have you supported yourself while working on this?

If I told you that I juggled kittens in a circus would it really make a difference?

This project it's probably not going to succeed, considering that I have $35,000 worth of skin in this game, can you save your questions for after the trades close?

You do realize that if this trade loses the kids are going to beat the dog snot out of me in this forum?

I want to promise you something and that is that if you had been through what I've been through on this project you would be on your knees crying like a baby.
