I mean, if a ten year old or fifteen can tell their parents that they want to “be a woman/man” and take hormones, why can’t a 14 year old smoke pot or have sex with a 22 year old?

What’s the logical framework that makes the former ok, but lets the parents say no to the latter?

It can’t be “that’s bad for you!” because surely smoking a joint, or sucking a dick, as a 14 year old is far less harmful than taking puberty blockers or cross sex hormones?

I offered that argument once on a message board: if you wouldn't let or believe a 13 year old could consent to a one-off sex act with an adult, how on earth can you think that same 13 year old has the maturity to consent to the permanent alteration of their body with puberty blockers?

I didn't get a chance to read any responses, because the moderators deleted the message and gave me an infraction warning for "discussing pedophilia". Not only do they have no answer for it, they will protect their shitlib brethren from being vexed by even having to think about it.

The really frustrating part with the whole Imane Khelif situation is that 2 women Jordan Chiles in Gymnastics and Vinsh Phogat in Wrestler have lost their Paris medals over technicalities. Chiles over a mishap with her scoring and Phogat was 0.2 pounds over the weight limit for her class. I'm not debating if the women should have loss or kept their medals just commenting on how the Olympics have no issue with taking medals away from women but won't even do a simple cheek swab to see if this thing is even a genetic woman.
