Metaphysical, magical notionsabout humans that are labeled as "gender" for political and social purposes, but constitute the exaltation of mundane personality traits. Typically incorporates ignorance or outright denial of observable biology, uses contradictory ideas - e.g. gender is both a "social construct" and an immutable, unquestionable internal trait - as well as made-up words that don't mean anything.

We have genderwoo for a related thing. Adding it.

Not sure if it's still a thing, but for a while it was a meme that troons didn't need just passive allies, they needed "accomplices" who would boldly risk everything, including their own lives and freedom to benefit the troons and their desires.

Stark contrast with the gays "we just wanna be left alone" approach.

I know a LOT of people think hes an immense faggot, but Short fat otakus video on "are trans women actually women" kinda comes to mind. Basically, he doesn't focus on the biological definition, but rather actually logically tries playing out various definitions, to see if they make sense / dont conflict.

In the end, none of them (besides viewing biologically) actually work without HUGE conflicts (IE if you define women as feminine, is a masculine female NOT a woman, despite saying she is?) But its kinda informative in the same way.

Taxonomy view of gender (biological)	View that women is determined by biology / organs / production of large gametes for reproduction. Due to this, no trans woman can ever be a woman, as they cannot possibly produce eggs and never could.
Social role view of gender	View that women is determined by full-fulling social roles assigned to a woman. This means not all trans women are women if they aren't feminine enough, or even that some men are women, AND that some normal women are actually men.
Abolitionist view of gender	View that gender itself should be destroyed as a concept. So nobody can be a woman, even trans women couldn't be women, because women don't exist.
Prescriptive view of gender	The idea that, we simply SHOULD call a trans woman a woman, for moral reasons of being polite and kind. Doesn't actually attempt to redefine, just views it as the right thing to do to call them that. So it doesn't change definition, its just asking people to "be nice". But basically they still aren't really women.
Self ID view of gender	Idea that women should have no actual meaning, and just let anyone identify as whatever. Basically eliminates all meaning from the term.

So basically no, they cannot possibly BE women, no matter how you define it, or if you can, you'd necessarily gut the ever loving shit out of the term. Coincidentally, this is also why people hate the matt walsh "what is a woman" bit.

Much has been said about how the trans movement likes to move the goalposts. I've often wondered if the word "trans" itself would eventually succumb to this, and I think that soon it will. "Gender diverse" has been touted as a possible replacement. Look out for new possible replacements, coming to an Arcus Foundation-funded DEI lecture near you.
