Transformers general thread - Toy Robot men based on giant robots based on previously mentioned toys about said robots

So, what are some of the dumbest transformers take you have ever heard?
Here's one for example.

>Hasbro shills and a certain shitposter who still labels Third party transformers as bootlegs and thinks they're lower quality than typical Hasbro or takara line
Any take from or on Raksha. Also Fenlander. Should mention that kiwifarms got a mention for the Raksha thread on TFW2005 back in like 2019?
Unless they're X-Transbots or older Unique Toys figures I would disagree on the lower quality. Also with Zeta Toys. They don't seem to know how to hide easily to conceal kibble.

Oh yeah, I also have an issue with female fans who have an unhealthy interest in certain Transformers. Like Neo Prime Star. I think she also went by Rinoa PrimeStar.

There's no way this render is real.

So the Scourge in the Rise of the Beasts is more Robots in Disguise than G1. I'm okay with that. I rather like how this looks and could easily go in with some G1 stuff. Reminds me of the robots Unicron made in the comics.

I'd rather have a real left hand though instead of the weird claw, gun thing he has going on. He's definitely going to be fun to repaint.

What worthwhile Transformers media exists? I've gotten back into the toys because I can't keep my hands still and I prefer toy robots over fidget spinners and nail-biting, and now I'm curious if anything worthwhile on the media front has been released between me abandoning it years ago and now.

For context, the only Transformers thing I've ever seen that I think held up as on retrospect as good children's media is Animated (still bummed that it was canceled). Coincidentally, that was also the last Transformers media I seriously watched, back when it originally aired. Not sure how much was due to me growing out of it, and how much was because of a plummet in quality between Animated and all the movie-related drek.

Is there anything else out there that is more than just a toy commercial? How easy are the various comic continuities to get into, and which ones, if any, have a jump-the-shark moment past which they should be ignored?

So the next GI Joe Transformer crossover figure maybe Triple T with St. Slaughter.

Transformers is a personal hobby of the thrill of acquisition, realizing and refining one's tastes and letting go for me over the years being involved with this.
After being able to purchase a Botcon 2008 Goldbug after 14 years (!!!), I'm now on an SG bender.

Seriously, the colors just pop on these releases. Barring Goldbug from the '08 Boxset being my holy grail, Mainline SG Blurr is an improvement over the 'Club Exclusive embrassment, SG Magnus now towers over the battlefield with the DNA leg upgrades and his diaclone-inspired colors. Megatron and Flamewar just look incredible together and I've enjoyed the new SG stories- they're simple, fun and don't try too hard like a lot of other things in media. Great worldbuilding like separate Autobot factions after a war on Earth, with them winning and carving up Cybertron along three different fiefdoms and the Decepticons beaten, but not fully defeated. Bodyscrappers and underground resistance radio telling everyone to fight on against the tyranny of the Autobots.

I've had the newage SG Megatron and SG Optimus, but let them go earlier because I couldn't find a SG Soundwave in that scale earlier. Now that they're reissuing the Newage SG Soundwave for Feb, I'm in a dilemma to either buy the Newage Clover (SG Grimlock) or wait for the official images of an updated, Leader-class SG Grimlock this year.

Might get the Renderform He-Man sword for SG Megatron to fight Magnus-Skeletor.

Heavily depends on what kinda stuff you're into. Beast Wars is a pretty good ride, almost on par with Animated. everything else I really enjoy is Japanese, so it might not be your cup of tea, but Victory & Micron Legend are probably the most approachable and overall consistent of the animes. Beast Wars 2 & Neo are well worth checking out if you want something goofier.

Images of MP 57 Jetfire.
Rather meh about this Masterpiece. Past four so far have been a complete bust. I like the minis though.

At least you can hide the terrible face sculpt.

$270USD isn't bad though. That's $100 cheaper than Fans Toy's offering but I still prefer that one.
