US Trump set to go on Joe Rogan’s podcast

Former President Donald Trump is expected to record an interview with podcasting behemoth Joe Rogan on Friday.

The interview will take place at Rogan’s studio in Austin, Texas, according to a person familiar with the plans who was granted anonymity to discuss the matter.

Rogan, who has more than 14 million followers on Spotify, has long occupied the top positions in national podcast ratings, and Trump’s appearance on his show continues the campaign’s push to win young male voters. In recent weeks, Trump has appeared on such male-friendly podcasts as “This Week w/ Theo Vaughn” and “Full Send,” a show hosted by the pro-Trump Nelk Boys.

Trump has never appeared on Rogan’s podcast and the two have had a complicated relationship. In August, Trump called out Rogan after the podcaster claimed that politicians on both sides are manipulative except for Robert Kennedy Jr., who at the time was running for president.

"It will be interesting to see how loudly Joe Rogan gets BOOED the next time he enters the UFC Ring??? MAGA2024" Trump posted of Rogan, who is a UFC commentator.

Rogan himself has been critical of Trump in the past. In July 2022, he called the former president an “existential threat to democracy.” Yet Rogan has more recently been complimentary of Trump, saying last month that the economy under Trump “did really well and he really did try to cut some of the bullshit down that's going on in this country."

Trump and Rogan have also had friendly moments in recent months, such as when they have greeted each other at UFC events. The two also have mutual allies — a group that includes RFK, who endorsed Trump after dropping his presidential bid, and tech billionaire Elon Musk.

Vice President Kamala Harris has also reportedly been in talks to go on Rogan’s podcast. A Harris spokesperson did not immediately respond to a request for comment on her plans.

The betting markets, one of the strongest predictors, currently gives Trump a roughly 2/3 chance of winning and Kamala a 1/3 chance. Her numbers continue to crater daily, and the election is a couple of weeks away. It was considered a "true tossup" shortly after the debate.

Why is the betting market better than, say, the nonpozzed analysts?

The polling numbers have Trump ahead in every swing state, which he's historically overperformed. The national polling averages have her ahead by less than a point in the popular vote. Her numbers are not only stagnant across the board, but declining. She has significant weaknesses with groups typically needed for Democrats to win, black males and Muslims, and in key states.

Based on American electoral history, Kamala is in a very bad spot, and getting worse. The race has followed a very predictable trajectory, in my opinion. Trump has a real chance to pull off the popular vote.

If he pulls off the popular vote, I think the dems might lose it. Trump won last time with the electoral congress only. I don't see how they will survive this. Are there any people who you suggest following?

In 2016 I thought Trump had a shot with the enthusiasm gap and Clinton's unpopularity in the Rust Belt. I told Trump people in 2020 Trump was going to lose because of COVID hysteria and ballot harvesting changes and got freaked the fuck out at. I am telling Kamala people right now that she is going to lose, as I have been saying for months.
Trump also didn't handle covid correctly. I personally have issues with Trump, but I am also willing to say their are some points he's right about and some points Harris is wrong about.

'So Mr. Trump, what are your real feelings on our socioeconomic situation? Don't hold back and have you ever tried DMT?'

I kid but if this is for real I'll gladly watch. Sounds like a good time for a joint and a couple drinks

Damn it im going to have to get Spotify won't I, even if its just the free trial? Fuuucccckkkk. The sacrifices I make. This better be kek and it better not just be talking about weed.

Didn't that bald pothead faggot swear up and down that he'd never have Orange Hitler on his podcast? Or am I mixing him up with another popular podcaster?
He always said he might be open to it but never really showed any true interest. I think that he hates Kamala just enough to finally do it...and seeing the numbers other people are getting for having him on is pretty tempting.

I haven't listened to Rogan in years but I'll check this one out.

Why is the betting market better than, say, the nonpozzed analysts?
A lot of those analysts are inherently biased one way or the other. They often have a vested interest in telling their audience what they want to hear, rather than being accurate. Or they'll factor in their own beliefs and wishes. Perhaps they're just not very good analysts, as well. If you are employed by the NYT and your model favors Republicans? That's just bad business, after all.

Conversely, the betting market operators don't like losing money, and people won't "put their money where their mouth is" unless they're especially confident about it. This leads to a remarkably accurate track record.

With regard to analysts? I don't have anybody that I especially like or follow. Not sure how old you are or how closely you follow the political system, but if you pay close enough attention and have some background knowledge you can see the way things will likely go. Read lots of perspectives, view every new poll that comes out, look at the direction things are going, and rectify that with knowledge of past outcomes.

I'm skeptical that this will actually happen. It's all too "anonymous sources" for me, and there's also the fact that Rogan doesn't seem keen.
Maybe things have changed, I don't listen to him unless I find his guest interesting, so it's been a while.
Also, having Jamie there constantly interrupting (without being the host) means Trump would trying to argue on two fronts, which would just look bad for him.
I don't know if it would be worth the risk, tbh.

Looks like Rogan’s handlers saw the writing on the wall after Trump’s podcast tour with Lex, Theo, etc.

I know he's not running again but Trump going on Rogan is like night and day to Biden going on Stern. I still listen to WATP (I know, I know) but Karl pointed out that Stern was a massive hypocrite for sympathizing with Biden's struggle with stuttering as a youth when back in the glory days, Stern and the rest of the crew would mock John Melendez's stutter mercilessly.

I've listened to a grand total of 1 Rogan podcast, and it sure wasn't for him, but for John Fucking Carmack, and the constant adbreaks just pissed me off the whole time. I can't imagine this one will be any better, but i'll tune in just to see what Trump says

Rogan is going through an obvious case of cognitive decline, he’s been stuck in a loop of the same topics and conversations for years now.
Each discussion on JRE is the same and with each discussion he becomes slightly more retarded and out of touch.
Hopefully he takes a euphoric amount of alpha brain on Friday.

*Donald takes a puff off a fresh blunt nobody has touched*

"Let me tell you, Joe, about the aliens. I know you like the aliens. The things I saw in Area 51, or whereever it was, you wouldn't believe it. Even you! There are good aliens, the greys. We have the world's biggest building full of alien technology, the biggest and the best collection. It's incredible, incredible. But I can't talk about it or they won't let me run again.

"But Comrade Kamala, she wants to sell that technology to the other aliens, to the tall blondes. Sell all of it!"

"Jamie, see if you can find any confirmation of that."

"Is true, Joe. She's a terrible person. She thinks she can make galactic credits by selling the American people out to the bad aliens, just like she wants to let in the illegals from Mexico. Galactic credits. It's disgusting. It's un-American."

I stopped listening when the ad breaks got to be obnoxious and he managed to cram talking about coyotes into every fucking episode for like a month plus and I noped out. Unfortunately, most of the podcasts I used to enjoy and straight trash now. Se la vi.

Shameless plug for warmode, the dogs won't sell out.

I pay for Spotify just for stuff like the Witch Trials of J.K. Rowling.
Well I just got the free version for Friday. If I like it i might pay for it, idk. I'll have to explore the app first, because what you mention sounds nuts lol.
